It has an excellent location right in the city center. The bathroom was nice and clean.

I’m tall (178 cm), and since my room was in the attic, I often hit my head — the beams in the middle of the room were very annoying.

Clean and comfortable warm room, easy self service, kettle and tea/coffee.

I found only one large towel. Would be good to have large and small ones.

The Pension is located centrally in Ceske Budejovice, a short walk from the main square and river, I took a "bolt" from the train station to the pension for convenience, about 140CK. The building is on a corner and the pension entrance is round the side from the pub entrance. You will be sent an email with your access PIN which opens the outer and your room door, no lift, so if you are not keen on stairs ask for room 1 to 4 as they are on the first floor. My room was very clean and everything worked, the shower always had plenty of hot water, there are only a couple of electrical sockets in the room. There are lots of pubs, cafe, restaurants and bakeries nearby and all the city centre is only a few minutes away. There are no check-in staff, and the pub is a separate business, so if you have a problem I imagine you would need to ring the pension. I really enjoyed my stay and think the pension is good value for money.

Its not a criticism, it was a bonus for me, but people booking here should realise it's over a busy, local pub so you should expect a bit of "pub noise".

WE had a Loft apartment with one double bed and two separate singles - we only used the double. The room was full of character, and some low beams (ouch). There was a fridge, but to use a kettle we had to go down one floor. Air Conditioning is extra and we didn't choose this. The location is above a well known Inn that is popular with locals. It was a bit a chaotic, and when we went for a meal service was slow because of too many people. However, this Inn did not impact on our stay; there was no noise late at night. The street was full of character, and lots of interesting shops, bars, cafes, restaurants.

The Bells! Because we didn't take the option for the Air Conditioning, we had to leave the windows open on the hot nights. There are four bell towers around this apartment and they each rang the quarter, and slightly different timings. That's 112 sets of chimes in a 7-hour night; I heard EVERY single one of them! On a lower floor, this problem might not exist, and if you can keep the windows closed there is no problem. I am not against Church Bells - I just don't want to hear them when I'm sleeping.

Room itself was pretty and bed was really comfy.

Charging 4€ for using AC seems cheap and miserable. Shower was disgustingly dirty. Seems that people owning this cares more about the pub downstairs that they also own since customers were quite loud outside until midnight.

Excellent location in the old town, with a quite good pub in the ground floor of the house. Rooms are big enough, beds are comfortable. No staff on site, but all the necessary information about arriving (eg. PIN codes) and leaving were communicated in time, and precisely. The do not serve breakfast, but there are pretty good cafes and bakeris nearby

Great location (in the city centre, everything you need is nearby). Little Common area where you can make tra/coffee, really nice! Clean. Self check in. No free parking (only for 15 minutes to get your luggage in) but you can park about 15 minutes away for a good rate (public car park). Mini fridge in the room and a fan! Great for the summer :)

The room is a bit dated BUT for the price and location, we can't really complain :) Besides, we didn't spend much time in the room. A bit noisy from the street but you can expect that in the city centre. I loved the vibe of the city.

Nice cosy room. Veey clean. Good location. Peacefull and quiet. Very nice staff. Easy check-inn.

Bed is very soft. And make sure to buy AC if you have the rooms at the top and its a hot day. But overall a very nice stay.
