The hotel did not respect a confirmed reservation on BOOKING.COM We waited more than 1 hour at 22h at the reception and then bar before getting our room. They sold it as an upgrade but they just added a bed in the kitchen area.
Dear Markus, We are truly sorry for the inconvenience you experienced with your arrival and room allocation. Our aim is a seamless, comfortable stay for every guest, and we regret falling short of that expectation. The night in question was an extraordinary circumstance, where not just our hotel but the entire quarter had a sudden influx of last minute reservations for cancelled trains at 21:00 hrs in the evening. Although you booked a studio with a sofa bed also on this, upon your arrival this room catergory had been over booked, as the system could not keep up with the updates to room availability. Unfortunately when you arrived we had no more of this room catergory available and so we placed you in a One Bedroom Apartment with a rollaway bed, so that everyone had a bed to sleep in and to keep you all together. We realise that this is not what you booked, although it is a larger room and we communicated this also when you arrived. We also agreed to your request of a discount and have given 20% of the night rate back to you. We're truly sorry for your experience on this night. This time we noticed that the cleaning was not done very thoroughly, there was a 1 L plastic bottle below the bed and a paper tissue next to it, obviously from the previous guests… seems like the cleaning Personal was not very careful, although everything else was spotless

Verified reviewI liked that it was an Apartment hotel. Especially liked the washer-dryer combo in the room. That was the selling point for us during a long European vacation. Having the U-Bahn station right there at the hotel was great we were able to visit Volksfest and the city with ease.

There is some water noise coming from the pipes, not great for light sleepers and unfortunately the sauna was out of order during my stay.

Verified reviewDuring my stay, I encountered several unacceptable service issues that fell far short of the standards expected from a hotel of your brand and reputation: No Housekeeping on the Second Day On the second day of my stay, my room was not cleaned at all—bed left unmade, trash uncollected, and toiletries not replenished. This is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. Inadequate Response from Reception When I called the front desk to request fresh towels, I was told that I had to come down and get them myself. This kind of response shows a shocking lack of basic service and courtesy to guests. Drinking Water Policy When I asked for a bottle of water at reception on the second day, I was told that complimentary water is only provided on the first day of stay. This policy is unreasonable, and more importantly, it was never communicated at check-in. It created a very unpleasant and unwelcoming experience.
Dear Ting, Thank you for taking the time to let us know of your experience in our hotel and Im truly sorry that we did not meet your expectations. In an effort to lower our carbon foot print, our rooms are cleaned every third day. We know that this is not every guests preference, which is why we offer extra service at no extra charge and ask that our guests let reception know. Im sorry if this was no communicated properly to you. We try to inform every guest upon check in and also have a cleaning notice on all the beds. This is written in both english and german. However, if you should choose to visit us again, I can note in your profile, that you prefer to have service daily. This will then be communicated to all Adinas Europe wide, of your preference. Regarding your request for fresh towels to be brought to your room. When we have all staff on hand, we always bring items to guests rooms. However, during the evening, there is unfortunately times when only one staff member is on the reception. In these circumstances, our staff must request guests to pop down to reception to collect the items, as they cannot leave the reception for a prolonged time, when avoidable. Im sorry if this was not well communicated to you, that this was the case. The Water in your room is thought as a welcome drink and is complimentary. It is not replenished daily or with housekeeping services. The water in Germany is safe to drink. However, we understand some guests prefer bottled water and therefore we have a Kiosk at reception where bottled water can be purchased. It is not spoken about at check in, as it is meant to be a gift. But we see your point and we will definitely talk this over internally, as to whether it would be better to mention this to guests on check in as well. I thank you again for letting us know of your time with us. It helps us to improve our service. The guests perspective is very valuable and not all guests let us know of our shortcomings. No air-conditioning for our entire stay as it wasn't working & despite reporting it & following up, it was never fixed. We made do thankfully with open window/door & no quilts at night as it was pretty warm.

I didn't like the fact that for PARKING, the guy at the reception didn't offer me the alternative of information that I could park on the street, of course with an hourly fee using a parking ticket issued by the parking machines. Since the moment of booking, he kept trying to explain to me that I should be careful where I park because it's a huge risk and that it's better to park in the underground parking lot for a cost of 30 Euros. So, I refused, I parked on the street for 2 days, I paid a daily ticket / Parkshein, on average about 8-10 euros per day and everything was fine. After 22:00 until 08:00 there is no parking fee for certain areas. I parked on Turlenstrasse Street (next to the Look21 building), the street that is exactly perpendicular to the main street. Use Google and copy-paste the coordinates: 48.790827, 9.180110 for the location. It is imperative that the Reception at Adina improves communication with the customer, especially when they notice that the customer refuses the 30 Euro/day parking options.....and it would be very nice to inform the customer that there are also parking options on the street where the cost is not so high. For my case, a family with a child, every additional cost counts, so I chose to park on the street with Parkshein in the public parking lot.
