Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

LatviaThis could be an excellent place, and the hosts could easily earn more if they improved the check-in process. Unfortunately, we had several issues: 1. The host did not respond to messages sent via Booking.com; 2. No information was provided about key collection, even up until the day of arrival; 3. When we called upon arrival to ask how to enter the building, the host told us to ring the neighbors; 4. The intercom seemed to be disconnected, and neighbors did not respond; 5. Luckily, a resident happened to come by and let us in, explaining that this is a regular problem and that neighbors are unhappy about it; 6. Once inside, the host stopped answering our calls when we tried to find out where the actual apartment key was; 7. Eventually, like in an escape room, we discovered the keys hidden in an old wardrobe shelf in the stairwell under a broom. After this adventure, the torn leather sofas in the living room (meant for two but realistically only comfortable for one person to sleep on) felt like a minor issue. Also, the apartment accommodates 7 people, not 8 as advertised. In the apartment we booked for 7 people, there was only 1 toilet roll, no hand soap, and no dishwashing liquid.
A spacious and well-designed attic apartment with good metro and S-Bahn connections.

SpainStay in Lichtenberg – Great potential, but the key disaster ruined everything We stayed in this apartment for a week with friends during an unforgettable trip to Berlin. The apartment has a good location, with easy access from Alexanderplatz, which we used as our meeting point. The Lichtenberg area is quiet, and the apartment is spacious, ideal for groups. BUT… the huge problem (and the reason I can’t recommend this place) was the key. From day one, it didn’t work properly. We had to bother the neighbors multiple times to get into the apartment, as the lock constantly malfunctioned. The most frustrating part was that the landlord never resolved the issue, despite us informing him repeatedly. This forced us to take "shifts" every night to make sure someone was in the apartment in case we couldn’t get in late at night. More than once, we had to return earlier than we wanted just to avoid being locked out. Berlin was amazing, but this key issue caused a lot of stress and seriously impacted our experience. A simple fix from the landlord would’ve made a world of difference. Conclusion: Make sure the lock has been fixed unless you want to take the risk of sleeping in the street

DenmarkThe apartment had only 3 wine glasses - we could have used 4, since we were 4 adults (and 4 kids). But not a big issue. Be aware that the door to the bathroom is made from frosted glass and does not close tightly, so if you are shy about visiting the toilet, you should consider if this is okay for you :)
Arrival was very easy - we called the host who picked up immediately and instructed us on how to find the keys. The apartment - and balcony - was extremely huge with lots of light coming in. We especially loved the open kitchen right next to the large dining table. The bathroom is really big and looks like newly renovated , with a great shower and bathtub. The apartment is very close to a metro station, so we could be in Alexanderplatz in about 15 minutes. A large Rewe supermarket is located clocely by also. Very convenient. We brought 2 madrasses, so we could fit 8 people into the three bedrooms and no one had to sleep in the living room. Definately value for money!
