How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Handles inside doors might help. I have early stage arthritis and just having a Yale lock can be a problem for me.

Parking was not available as advertised but we managed to find free street parking.
Great location, walking distance to everything in town. Well equipped kitchen although it could do with some tea towels or paper towel to dry dishes. I'd stay again

We were moved at the last minute to a different room because one of the buildings required renovation unexpectedly. The rooms were nice but there was not much tea and milk provided for a 2 day stay and also no car parking available. They did inform me in advance that the car park was closed because of the maintenance work though.
Good location and clean, comfortable room. The price was very reasonable and good value for money. Good communication from the hosts.

It was great to have a kitchen. Just a shame others don't clear their crockery away and leave things in the sink, making it difficult for others to use. No fault of owners.
Very close to the promenade and town centre. Tea and coffee available.

Car Park is very tight. Room needed a bit of TLC. Door was right next to entrance-way so was disturbed quite a lot by other guests. TV channels didn’t really work, shower makes quite a bit of mess on floor as no screen/curtain. Broken bedside lamp/floor lamp
Decent sized room, plenty of space. Good sized bath. Location very good

nothing not to like
location is brilliant, very friendly staff. was a bit unsure about the shared bathroom but it worked out fine. kitchen had everything you needed. other guests were lovely and friendly.

Slippery to get out of tub needs internal bubble mat, edges of tub platfom needs corner protectors
From the moment we got off the train, the property was around the corner next to the cinema, access was easy to room 10 then WOW looked into room, stunned..... Beautiful , well done to owner. Tub was big, a glass of wine and 2 tv's to watch Perfect

The bed was a bit soft for me. Wardrobe door was broken.

after we'd checked in and settled, had a missed call and then a text to ask if I could call them back, call from the caretaker on site in a threatening tone saying "are you going to admit to what you've done before I check CCTV or what" to which I was amazed at both the tone and the accusation as we werent sure what happened, it turns out a drain pip had been snapped but I asked the caretaker to have a look at the CCTV footage and then come back to me with the number plate (it wasnt one of our party) then I heard nothing, text back the next day to ask for an update, read but no reply, text again and he said "i didnt look at the cctv and have repaired it, no big deal" which I think is poor considering the tone of his accusation, an apology and being honest would have been fine. While we were in the rooms we could hear a man aggresively speaking saying "how stupid are these boys to not notice they've done it, come forward and just say" and "they're going to have a big bill from us" which went on for half an hour
Facility was great, close to the town centre free parking, shared kitchen, easy to check in and they let us check in early which was great, 2 appartments out of the 4 we booked were shared bathrooms which wasnt ideal but not the end of the world

My daughters bed had stains on side of bed (under skirt area) , could be a little cleaner. Tell sheets was clean , but underneath needed a deep clean. Shame, however bed was comfortable..
Close to center and had own carpark. Communal kitchen very good.
