Warm welcome on arrival, we stayed in the 1 bedroom apartment, really modern, and clean. Excellent breakfast, thankyou so much our stay was wonderful , just spot on for our night away.

Travel a lot for work and usually stay in an IHG (points make prizes) however, in this location the quality of IHG is poor, so decided to give this place a try. Well i wasn't disappointed! After a long delay on the M1 i arrived frazzled and harassed. The check in was great, friendly and welcoming. My bag was taken to my room by a member of staff, sadly i forget his name, but he was super helpful. My room was very, very appointed, modern with a traditional twist, four poster bed, totally wasted on me, but hey! Quickly went to the pub for supper. My server Amy was just as professional and helpful as checking staff, food was great, ambiance super, wine good and not ridiculous expensive. Breakfast was included and whilst i didn't have the full English, a number of equally contented travellers did and it looked amazing. I went for the Granola - boy that was a taste sensation. I even raved to it when i meet with customers later that morning, being local they were aware of the place and said that it has a great reputation locally. All in all a really positive and good experience. Will certainly return and can't praise this place enough.

A very nicely decorated and spacious room. We had a lovely evening meal which was reasonably priced. All the staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The owner was very appreciative of our compliments to the chef.

Nicholas the General Manager is very warm and welcoming. His team are professional and friendly. First impressions were of a warm cosy country inn, and it exceeded expectations..check in was very smooth and uncomplicated. The corridors smelt lovely as you went to the room. The housekeeper deserves a well done, pristine room. We ate in the restaurant and it was pie night. The steak and ale was delicious and there was a deal, pie, chips mushy peas and a drink only £17. We would highly recommend the pickled pheasant. We will return.

Only issue for us was our room was cold and we had no hot water for a shower the next morning, brought this to attention of the manager who very fairly issued us with a refund from our bill, think there was a problem with the boiler. Nothing else we didnt like

Nice cosy pub/hotel. Stayed 1 night with friends and enjoyed our time in the bar and the evening meal was good. Great breakfast with plenty of choice, staff very friendly

Had trouble getting hot water from the shower in the morning however we had such a lovely stay we didn’t worry about it too much

Check in was usually from 16.00pm check out at 10.00am. Not even 24 hours. Check incould definitely be earlier allowing a full day's stay.

Staff were extremely helpful. Room was ready to check into early. Absolutely immaculate. Very clean. Beautiful room. Breakfast options were great and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely stay again.
