Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

The bedside lamps made noise whenever I moved in the bed, the reservation said the room had a hairdryer but I couldn’t see one and the bathroom smelled of cigarettes

Zary and Derrick were wonderful hosts. The room was comfortable and quiet and had everything I needed. Zary provided a fabulous breakfast. A thoroughly enjoyable stay.

I found the fridge a little noisy during the night, but perhaps I could have unplugged it.
I went for work at Warwick Hospital and needed a no-frills, safe place to stay the night. Zary and Derrick's place fit the bill perfectly. It's a room in their house, located in a nice and quiet neighbourhood with space for parking. Zary met me at the door and was extremely warm and friendly. The room came with a very comfortable bed, wifi, enough sockets to charge/use my devices, a kettle and supplies for tea and coffee. The ensuite was as clean as the room. Zary provided a nice and simple breakfast the next morning at no extra cost and at the time I had asked for. I would stay again if I went to Warwick for work- the location is excellent as are the hosts.

As I was in Warwick for the Folk Festival I was getting back there quite late, so it would have been more convenient to have a key for the front door rather than having to rely on being let in.
The hosts were very kind and welcoming. My ground floor room was comfortable and it was good to have a fridge. Breakfast was cereal, fresh fruit and toast (I enjoyed the home-made plum jam), which suited me fine. It's about a ten-minute walk from Warwick Station and there is a frequent bus service into the town centre. If you walk in there are paths by the canal and through a park.

Nothing negative to say
Lovely friendly people. Everything simple in terms of check in and parking. Quiet surroundings bur 10 walking mins from shops and a further 19 miscfrom the centre.

Nothing. Perfect for my needs.
Perfectly located within easy walking distance of the historic Warwick town centre, so ideal for visitors to the castle, racecourse or outdoor events in town. Spacious comfortable room with en-suite facilities. Lovely fresh fruit salad for breakfast and excellent value for money, given it's location.

Nothing although I did have to move the ticking clock 🤣-everything was fine.
Hosts were very welcoming, bed extremely comfy with lovely soft sheets and two different types of pillow provided. Ensuite was roomy and the bedroom had two chairs plus a most useful fridge. The lovely Breakfast consisted of fresh fruit salad, selection of cereals and toast with homemade preserves. Thank you

I stayed the night here so that I could easily get to Warwick Hospital in the morning for my new hip operation. Hosts were really wonderful and attentive, which really helped calm the nerves. Everything you need, plus clean and comfy.

The room was very tight but we only slept in it.
Easy to find and walking distance to Warwick castle and train station. Great local information in the room, owners very welcoming and breakfast was wonderful fruit salad, cereal and toast.

This didn't prove a problem for us but there is no way of locking your door/belongings in when you leave the property.
Easy to find, parking off road and walk to the town. Hosts responded promptly to messages, knowledgeable about the area, very helpful. Room was somewhere to sleep and clean just what we needed as booked to attend a concert in the castle.
