Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsThe position of the bungalows meant that there was a steep uphill hike and too many steps every time we went to our room. Unfortunately with it being so far from everything and the heat meant that it was a lot. The food wasn’t terrible but it also wasn’t great, we found it to be quite bland a lot of the time. The drinks could also be better as they’ve opted for the cheaper versions of everything, including the alcohol which could barely be tasted despite being the glass being 50% vodka/ 50% mixer.
The staff were amazing and couldn’t do enough to make our stay pleasant. The spa was exceptional and everything you could hope for! The scuba diving an unmissable experience and the instructors were very knowledgeable. Everywhere was very clean with staff coming round constantly to collect glasses and clean tables.

DenmarkReally old hotel - as if they are just waiting for it to fall apart. Missing map of hotel, missing info of more than just meal schedule. Hotel facilities are old. Food more or less the same each day (9 night stay). Old stiff spring beds, old broken and quick-fixed bathrooms. Towel/spa lady totally uninterrested in making sure there are clean towels available (4 days in a row we were told - Sorry, come again next day). Not worth the price.
Hotel beach is nice, although crowded (middle of september). Staff is helpful and friendly (except spa).

United KingdomThe cleanliness of the place was not up to standard. Often the food hall was grubby and like floors hadn’t even been swept. Everything was shabby - the rooms were grim and smelt musty, the pool was literally crumbling away (some kids were throwing and skimming the little broken off tiles and almost got my toddler in the face.. and also toddlers legs were constantly covered in scratches from sitting on the pool edge) coffee was terrible, too much smoking on the terrace it wafts into the food area. Staff were miserable (with the exception of reception and the lovely gents that cleaned our room) as in they reprimanded us for filling up our water bottles - which is not allowed. Appalling amount of plastic used - cocktails, beers etc in small 200ml plastic cups.
Small but significant wins for this property - our bed was very comfortable, the air con was working, the pool was large and refreshing, the beach delightful, the views are stunning. We enjoyed the cocktails - gin fizz particularly, our room with the pool access directly off it was large and convenient for us. The food was tolerable. It was a very cheap all inclusive stay.

IrelandProperty was showing age and lack of maintenance throughout. Main pool had debris and lots of pieces of unstuck mosaic tiles on the floor. Beds were solely single beds and made poor doubles as joint between mattresses. Mattresses were poor - you could feel the springs. Food was average, typical all inclusive buffet, but nothing great. Lift down to beach broke down and was out of action for last 3 days.

IrelandFood needs to be upgraded but for the price you would find something to eat. Limited selection of alcohol. Only one bottle of water provided In the room and no other drinks. No facilities for making you own tea/coffee Room not cleaned regular (aware cleaning staff are an issue)
This hotel needs plenty of TLC which is ongoing at the moment. The views are spectacular and for them alone makes this a good place to stay Very friendly staff. Plenty of sunbeds which are located on various levels. Pools although in need of maintenance are still lovely to swim in. The beach area is rocky but once you are in the sea it's amazing. Water is so clean and clear. Several very good places to eat up from the hotel. Would recommend Street and vitamin

BelgiumFew options for food, old rooms, that were really poorly insulated. There was a lot of noise. You could hear the slamming doors all the time. AC was very loud and almost impossible to use during sleep. Lighting in the room is very poor. At night you can barely see anything. Lots of hotel amenities are worn out, not used - abandoned. There was lack of towel hangers, so many negatives. The location is almost in the middle of nowhere, so for those who like to visit the downtown on foot, or walk the seaside promenade will be disappointed. In order to do this You have to use the bus to the nearest town. I was also disappointed that You have to pay, almost for everything else (game of pool = 2€, storage for luggage = 2 € and if you need to unlock it, you have to pay again, "a day of rent-a-car" is actually only 10h - from 9.00 till 19.00, and every minute of late return is penalized, if You expect some advice for the visit of the island, don't expect too much from the staff - you find more on google.
All inclusive was really handy but the variety of tastes was poor. The menu was almost all the same throughout the week. There was enough food, coffee and drink available at different times. The beach was nice, and almost everyday we found some space with free sun beds and umbrellas. Beach towels available for free.
