Very conveniently located with good transport links (MTR and buses) to major city landmarks, the airport and so on. Upon making a reservation they very kindly provided multiple transport options which were easy to understand and use to locate the building. I booked a private room and bathroom as I was attending a nearby event and had no issue. I felt safe staying here as a solo traveler, the room was double locked and the main door to the residency is locked, accessible only with the door code. Staff are at the desk throughout the day, and if there are any problems throughout the night there is a building manager downstairs 24 hours a day. Room was clean and tidy with additional blankets, towels etc available at the front desk. Rooms cleaned daily. Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly throughout my stay and made me feel very welcome.

Johnson Hostel (aka Johnston Hotel) offers some tiny rooms on the 11th floor of a huge, ugly, rundown 15 storey building in Hong Kong. Only 1 of the 2 lifts was working. After waiting with a growing crowd of residents we had to squash in with our luggage when the lift finally arrived. We eventually found the 'office' (there are other 'hotels' on the 11th floor) and the woman showed us to a tiny room with a double bed and TV. There is no space to unpack. Luggage goes under the bed. The smallest ensuite bathroom ever comprises a WC, handbasin and a shower head on a hose. The view is the washing of all the residents arranged around the centre of the building. The bed was firm and pillows hard.

The room was small but cozy. There was filtered water and boiling water. The hostel replies fast to messages. The bed was very comfortable and the room quite.

It’s clean and comfortable enough for us to rest. Also, it’s a perfect location because it is surrounded by restaurants, convenience store and all the souvenir shops especially the DS grocery and Lung Fung! Everything is walkable. Will recommend this place.

Good for Budget Travelers – Highly Recommended if You're Not Choosy. We were a group of six (Family) and stayed at Johnson Hostel for 5 nights. The room was basic but clean and had everything we needed. The location is super convenient—close to transport, shops, and places to eat. It’s not fancy, but it’s comfortable and affordable. Highly recommended for those who are not choosy and just need a good place to rest after exploring the city.

Location near the ladies market and mong kok station

The beds are hard. Need visual direction for the hotel entrances from the street.

Near to MTR subway station, bus station, market and groceries, shoes ( sneakers world ). Almost branded shoes. DS groceries ( pasalubong ). They're 1 bedroom can suite family....no need two bedrooms...also morning breakfast just go out and look they're so many to find....

Nothing...all are great on that hostel.

Location close to MTR, airport public bus, 7 eleven store downstairs, lots of restaurants & Langham shopping mall, room is clean, Quad room has big window, bunk beds are acceptable if you don't mind firm mattress, we were staying at 11 floors Room 17 hostel, hostel has 5 ensuit rooms, not busy during our stay, it is quiet during our 5 days stay, AC works well, shower & toilet is acceptable size for average size individual, good price for HK standards

Hostels are scattered on different floors in this tall building, a clear directions will be useful, No mini fridge available, AC is noisy, bring your ear plugs if you are light sleeper
