‐ The room was really small - It was quite hard to find - There was a lot of noise from the other rooms - At the check out the receptionist wanted to take my phone and tried to fill in the review in the Booking App themselves. I refused and after few minutes we were out, they canceled our reservation as we didn't even arrive. That was really weird.

- The room was in perfect location with interesting atmosphere and near Metro station - It was really cheap and for the price it was a good accomodation - Room was clean and towels were changed every day

The Security Guard (old man)of the lift is very arrogant . He should know and understand English since the occupants were multi cultural.He’s talking in his language . For us he’s like cursing

It is a business with multiple hostels in the same building, spread across different levels. At first, I was given a room on a different level from the reception and had to use the stairs. The building itself seems to be made of mould, which I struggled with, along with the first room they gave me. While the AC in the second room was better cleaned, I still couldn’t use it for the two days I was there. Luckily, they had a big fan over the bed, and I was able to rest well. However, I handle heat better than most people, so if anyone struggles with asthma, sensitivity to mould, and needs an AC in the room, these hostels may not be suitable. It seems like a good deal for Hong Kong, but I wouldn’t go back. The building itself is a bit unsettling, as it looks like a place for shady businesses, but that was just the feeling I got—I'm not necessarily saying it is.

I requested to change rooms due to my asthma and sensitivity to mould, and they immediately gave me a different room in another hostel. I appreciated their understanding. The new room was clean, and the bed was comfortable.

I was assigned at the upper deck bed and there’s a slight inconvenience especially if you are a tall person but I think you can also request to be placed on the lower deck if there is availability. The steps when going up the upper deck is kinda unsafe as it seems like it’s gonna give up if you’re on the heavy weight side. It’s gonna be a fall risk. There are so many people at the ground level even at night but it gives Chungking Mansion its identity. It’s still safe though. The lift may take some time to go up or go down sometimes but it is because there are only 2 lifts servicing.

The staff were very friendly. I felt the warmth of their welcome. My HKD cash is not enough to settle the entire bill for my stay and the staff assure me nothing to worry as I can pay it off before checking out (which I settled moments later using my card). I had the opportunity to talk to the owner and she’s very friendly. She’s also nice to her staff. They also have Filipina staff (housekeeping) and they were so friendly. Towels were changed every day which is really good. There is also a hair dryer which is awesome. The location is perfect as it is very near the MTR station, malls, coffee shops, and restaurants. Victoria Harbor is also walking distance (1km approximately). And lastly, great value for money. If you just need a place to rest after your long day exploring Hong Kong, this place is recommended.

I can hear the other room talking, and also they can hear us, sorry if we are coming late & they can hear noisy. If the management can cover or block that open part in the windows between of walls.

Perfect location, easy access to anywhere & everything, near mtr tsim shs tsui station, bus stop in front, cafe coral for heavy breakfast and nice staff

That u have to go to the 16th floor to check in. The elevator was not working by the time we arrived so we had to use the stairs to check in with 30kg luggage with us and a kid with us And after that reaching the reception we had to carry our luggage again and go down to the 6th floor by stars. It's a nightmare experience

The hotel is a part of an accommodation cluster located in the building. You have to go to a different floor to get the keys first (and they also ask you for a key deposit). The building itself is in poor condition and you will have to wait for a dirty and overcrowded elevator every time you go up or down. The room was as small as a train compartment and the only window overlooked a backyard with lots of noisy restaurant ventilators.

The price and location are unbeatable. The room was nice and had everything I expected. If you want some place to crash for the night and save as much money as possible - then it is a good choice.

I had several cockroaches in my room. I advise to keep your food sealed.

You will get a new set of bedsheets and a fresh towel everyday, but you need to request it at the counter. The also got filtered water and boiling water available, also a microwave and a refrigerator.

Location is unclear. To get to reception go to A Block and it’s on level 16. there is no sign for the name of the hostel on this floor but that’s where it can be found next to Chunking Mansions
