Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

UkraineThis guesthouse is so lovely 😍 The room is new and spacious, cleaning is every day and it’s perfect, the staff is so attentive to detail and friendly, and they also change the towels every day. And special thanks to Dewa for keeping the quality bar that high 🤩 The family - owners of the guest house - are also super kind and friendly 😌 The location is very comfortable - quiet, yet close to the Yoga Barn and there are plenty of nice cafes in walking distance. Overall - definitely recommend! I booked for 1 month and I’m extremely happy that this was the place from where I explored the Ubud area

RomaniaThe enter is quite unclear. So, the guest house is in the back of the family yard. Some indications would be useful. There are ants climbing into the bed, although we had a room on the second floor. And the nature is quite noisy during the night. But, is part of the experience in Bali ;)
We had a very warm welcome from the employee. Sully was absolutely lovely and made our stay perfect. The owner, we did not meet. Some people complained about the bed, but to me it was perfect! Usually I have back pain, but not here.

Ray Guest House is a simple yet very cozy and comfortable place, with everything you need for a great stay. It has a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel at home. We loved it so much that we extended our stay twice because we didn’t want to leave. The owners are extremely kind, friendly, and always ready to help, they even surprised my daughter with a birthday cake, which was very touching. The location is also great: close to lovely cafés, the Yoga Barn, and other yoga studios. We truly enjoyed our time here and would happily come back.

Location is good, so close to main points; like Monkey Forests, Yoga Barn, good restaurants, book stores and big supermarkets. And the place I’ve stayed was newly built, so it is clean and spacious.

United StatesI wish there’s a glass partition between the shower and toilet, but it’s not a big deal because the bathroom was quite large and the shower head was adjustable.
Located in Ubud center, but the guesthouse rooms are in the back of a traditional Bali family compound, so it’s quiet and peaceful at night. The bedroom and en-suite bathroom are spacious and clean, the balcony has a table and chairs for reading and relaxing. The bed is comfortable. Walkable to many restaurants, shops, and tourist attractions. Mr. Dewa manages the guesthouse for his family; while he doesn’t live on the property, he is responsive via WhatsApp. I also booked him to transport me to another villa to join the rest of my family the next day, and he’s a delight to work with.

United StatesNo downside. It’s not on the main street but that can be a plus. Overall Ubud isn’t walkable but motorbike takes you everywhere.
Loved the newness of the property. The staff here also do a good job to make the interior clean! The location is close to Yoga Barn, with some cafes nearby for cheaper prices. I also really love the staff here. There’s also a Ray Spa that I recommend! It was a comfortable stay and I will come back

Spain-
I kept extending my stay because this place is great for long as well as short term stay. It's a great location, in the very centre of Ubud but very peaceful and quiet as it's tucked in a lovely garden. It has all amenities, including an fully equipped new kitchen and reliable laundry service for a great value. I honestly can't recommend this place enough.

SpainThere's absolutely nothing to call out!
This is the best place I've stayed in Ubud! Everything is amazing - location is great, pretty central but the building itself is tucked in, away from noise, it has it's peaceful beautiful garden. Everything in the rooms is pristine clean and new and is done with utmost care. The staff are really friendly and kind. There's even a kitchen space to be shared with the four rooms and it has everything you need. I extended twice already and staying here in total of a month and a half. Honestly, cannot recommend it enough!

I’ve been living in Bali for a long time and have stayed in numerous places, and this guesthouse is easily one of the best in its price range. The four-unit property offers brand-new, modern, and spotless rooms with hot water in both the rain showers and bathroom sinks. The beds are on the firmer side and feature new mattresses with clean comforters. I also loved the stylish touches, like the exposed brick walls and artistic headboards. The shared kitchen is well-equipped, with free drinking water—a great bonus. The WiFi worked perfectly for my video meetings, which isn’t always the case in Bali. Another rare find: fresh, fluffy towels, including a hand towel! The floor-length mirror, hairdryer, man-fridge and room lighting are nice additions not usually seen at this price point. The fresh coconuts as a welcome drink and friendly staff also appreciated! The location is fantastic—walking distance to The Yoga Barn, cute boutiques, restaurants including the super popular expat hangout Sayuri Healing Foods. You can walk everywhere, very central without any monkey issues you’d find near the Monkey Forest area. Set back off the street so noise is minimal especially in downstairs rooms, but note that you walk through a family compound to reach the units. This wasn’t an issue for me, but if you’re after a place with a landmark jungle or rice field view, it’s something to consider. Overall, a stylish, clean, and well-located stay with excellent value for money! Thanks Dewa.
