Catherine was great! Helped us find all we needed in town and offered great suggestions of things to do. Bed was comfy and it was great to have a fridge and microwave to enjoy our leftovers! Highly recommend!

Amazing location & very clean and tidy. Walking distance to some pubs/restaurants/local attractions. The host was so kind to meet us at our car, walk us up to the place and give us a bit of explanation on the history of the place and the fun things to do in the area! We loved our stay, she had coffee and tea and snacks as well which were lovely. Comfy bed, perfect for a quick stay or a weekend getaway to explore!

Historical home built before America was established- exactly what we wanted so nothing to complain about!

Catherine and her husband Danny are excellent hosts. She has seen to every detail, down to beautiful plants here and there to make you feel welcome. There is a tea pot for hot water and a coffee pot too. I bet she has at least 15 kinds of tea for you to choose. She had some fruit and yogurt on hand as well as a cute little dining nook. We had plenty of hot water and a very comfy bed. It is a little walk from the city so we took a taxi with our suitcases and walked the rest of the time with no problem. The room is up the stairs, but we knew that when we booked. Hubby had no problem managing them with his bad ankle. And I had no trouble bringing down the suitcases. (Danny took them up while we were out and about.) WiFi was excellent as well.

Everything was wonderful! Getting to speak with Catherine a bit was just icing on the cake!

We stayed at Catherine’s place for one night during our honeymoon in Europe (should have been two, but we had an overnight flight delay.) After our delays and traveling such a long distance, we were exhausted and rather out of sorts. Meeting Catherine really lifted our spirits. Catherine is such a kind and gracious host, and really made us feel welcome. There was coffee, yogurt and cereal for breakfast, delicious candies on the dresser, and the view of the garden from the bathroom window was so lovely. The room is adorable and quaint, and has everything you need for a cozy stay.

No parking at the property. However, easy and free parking in a nearby street, which is visible from the property.

The host was very friendly and had great tips for parking, visits, and historical sites in Cork. The location is about a 15-min walk to the town centre, which is really following a single street (easy-peasy). The shower was great, and there were even options of shower gels! There was a large water bottle, tea, coffee, biscuits, granola, and fruits. Friendly, clean, and comfortable.

To return from the city centre you need around 15-20 minutes up hill by foot.

Good communication via chat, lovely decorated and clean rooms with every kind of useful equipment a traveller could need. Parking is available around the house in the residential area- depending on the time you arrive you get a parking lot close by.

Catherine was a lovely, friendly host. Everything was thought about. Plenty of coffee and a hundred teas to choose from. Cereal bars and fresh milk provided. It was made as comfortable as possible.

The first time that I left, I had a little trouble opening the front door because it’s different from what I’m used to. The lock has to be held to the left while opening because that’s the way it’s made to do.

It is centrally located and in easy walking distance of many great pubs and restaurants and really anything that you want to do. If you want to use buses to get around, you need to have Euros because that’s just how they work here. I was on the top floor of a building that is a few centuries old where in bygone times a couple of families lived as unbelievable as it seems to someone who was born in 1957 in Miami, Florida. I wouldn’t say that it was renovated because, obviously, the facilities were never this luxurious. Still, because the bedrooms use the old style skeleton keys and the same window layout it feels historic. The bed is very comfortable and would be very comfortable for two people as well. The lady who owns and operates this place is very friendly and left breakfast for me on the morning that I took a tour bus to the Ring of Kerry which was very helpful because the bus left at 8:30 in the morning and breakfast places don’t open before 8:00 around here. The bathroom is fully stocked with many different shampoos, soaps, conditioners and even medicine for headaches and body aches. The bedroom has a kettle for tea and a coffee maker that uses Keurig style packs. The drawers underneath the tea and coffee maker is also filled with several different types of teas, hot chocolate and instant coffee. There are also biscuits for tea and coffee. It also has many different brochures about things to do in Cork and the surrounding areas. There are also a few interesting books about Ireland and its history. I would recommend it for anyone that doesn’t have a problem walking up a couple of stairs. If you do have a problem with that you’re going to have a very difficult time walking around Cork because, the stairs are far easier than walking around the up and down terrain of Cork.

Very nice and welcoming lady. The room was very clean, comfortable and well prepared. It has everything you need, in a very thoroughly prepared way. We had the whole top floor, it was very private.

Super friendly host and accommodation as described. Entire top floor to yourself with bedroom, bathroom and basic kitchen utilities. Perfect for a couple nights exploring Cork City.

The Host was super helpful. Really special had the whole floor to myself. A packed lunch everyday for work. I would stay again in a heartbeat if life permits me. It was like my own apartment really. Awesome and friendly staff

The property is located in a 'lived in' area of the city with lots of character and history but rather deprived. There was one boarded up house on the street, and the view from window was of a derelict patch of land.

Very kind and thoughtful hosts, cleanliness very good, fully equipped and functional. Lovely back garden view from one bedroom (the one with fridge).

Would be helpful if there were bannisters along the stairways and when in bed w the light on it creates a glare. Either the tv or the light could be moved up a bit.

Clean w a variety of teas, snacks & odds and ends a traveler might need.

Good location, close to the city centre. Excellent hosts who keep you updated of everything and help you explore the city with recomendations. There waswater, coffee and some amenities in the room. Everything was really city and clean, I don‘t have any complain.
