Even though we knew it was a bit of a walk into town it felt further when the rain pelted down. Personally I prefer being able to see the cereals, fruit and yogurt and dishing that up myself. The cooked breakfast was delicious.

lovely property with a great view. A good breakfast, lovely room, great toiletries and friendly staff.

That we couldn't stay longer :)

Absolutely magnificent house and welcoming family. Superbly preserved history throughout yet we still had high speed strong wifi. The grounds were stunning and it felt very rural with deer at night eating fallen apples. The location and views are second to none. Hannah and Nina were perfect hosts going out of their way to make our stay really lovely. The breakfast was beautiful with a large range of delicious options, excellent irish bread and brack, fresh fruit, smoked salon, scrambled eggs and much more. A perfect stay and we plan to come here again, Thank you!

Not related to the property - We couldn’t source an uber to head into the pub to the night.

Best place we’ve stayed on our trip yet. Hannah, her daughter, Nina, and her granddaughter are the sweetest hosts - we felt so welcome and when we left, it felt like I was saying goodbye to my own Grandmother. The breakfast was delicious with Hannah’s homemade bread and jam. She doted on us and ensured we were comfortable. Her grandson Luca wrote out the history of the home (see attached photos). The home is decorated with historical timepieces but all the modern amenities were available. A large shower and separate shower- plenty of hot water as I had my first bubble bath on this trip. Big windows and the ability to open were a treat. Well loved furniture in the living room with a large TV if you care to tune into a show. The bed was firm but comfortable, a short walk into town but enough distance to be a quiet relaxing space (leaving your windows open at night without the blaring noise of the roadway). There was another couple staying (clearly in another wing) and we didn’t even know it until we met them at breakfast. There is such a spacious location. A sweet treat was the tiny black kitten that welcomed us outside - perhaps a neighbour’s cat, we didn’t see her again but she was a sweet welcoming party when we arrived.

Hannah and her grand daughter were lovely hosts. Gorgeous old style home with beautiful antique furniture. Beautiful views across the bay. Delicious freshly cooked full Irish breakfast. Good quality sausages fab brown soda bread. Really comfy beds. Drove in late at night to be met by a herd of deer grazing on the lawn !! For a genuine Irish hospitality experience, rather than a boring generic hotel I would recommend this lodge!!
