How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The property was in a nice quiet area with all of the amenities you could need. The room was a great size with a very comfy bed. There was also a communal lounge area to relax in with books, a tv, tea and cookies. Breakfast was delicious and the hosts were incredibly helpful with suggestions for what to do for the day and routes to get to our next destination.

Our stay was an absolute delight! The cozy and inviting atmosphere made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Just take into account that the location is bit off the beaten track , especially if arriving at night as the roads are windy
Firstly , we had a lovely stay at this B&B .shamus and Bernie the hosts were very friendly and accommodating , making us feel at home. The breakfast was a highlight with a freshly prepared menu of food to choose from including delicious local products that gave a true taste of the area . Their warm hospitality made the trip even more special and personalized , especially after staying in hotels.

There wasn’t anything I could think of.
The property was isolated in the country, but close to Killarney and all the tourist sites.The hosts couldn’t have been more helpful with day trip planning and other questions.Immaculate facilities and view. Made us feel welcome. Would recommend to anyone wanting to experience Killarney and the tourist sites.

Seamus and Bernie made us feel at home during our short stay here in Killarney. They welcomed us upon arrival and even provided a delicious homemade full Irish breakfast. The room itself was comfy, quiet, and clean! Overall a great value for the area.

Keep in mind that this location is about a 15 minute drive to town. We chose it because we didn't want to stay in a busy area. You do have to get a taxi (which our hosts had info for). The taxi drivers were lots of fun to talk to and arrived within 10 minutes of our call.
We loved staying at O'Sullivan's BnB! It was clean, organized and beautifully decorated. Our hosts were very helpful and provided everything we needed. The room was clean and spacious. Our breakfast was incredible!

Nothing to highlight.
Beautiful bedroom and very comfortable bed with gleaming white sheets and cover. Good size bathroom with electric shower and piping hot water in the wash hand basin. Seating to relax in the front garden, and large sitting room with tea/coffee available at all times. The whole area was immaculate.

O'Sullivans B&B was everything we needed for our one night stay. The breakfast was very good. The rooms were very clean and beautifully decorated and the bed very comfortable. Our hosts were friendly and helpful and I would highly recommend this lovely B&B.

Bernie is very sweet and took care of us like a mother! She would serve hot breakfast of our choice in the morning, make the bed while we were gone, and gave a lot of helpful travel tips. Her place is very beautiful with colorful decor in a peaceful neighborhood.
