Definitely not enough space for four adults.Tiny bedrooms, no chairs apart from 2 person sofa to sit down and 2 bar stools. The apartment was clean, however there was a strange, unpleasant smell in the apartment.

Location was great ,2 minute drive to Kerry Cliffs . Check in process easy to follow.

the accommodation was not particularly sound proof as we could hear what the neighbours were saying.

Location was exactly what we wanted, close to the port and pubs, scenery was very good.

Could provide some basics like salt & pepper, oil, coffee, tea, washing tablets, more toilet paper (2 for 4 wasn't enough), napkins, bed sheets were very old. For what we paid we felt it wasn't worth it. Other places even gave us muffins, biscuits, milk and fruits... There's no supermarkets around, so you rely on these I comment before. The sofa was very uncomfortable, not family friendly.. Not enough hangers for wet towels also.

    The weather.

We didn't meet any staff. Directions for entry were easy and clear. It was very satisfactory for a short stay. It the facilities for self-catering but in v small ,kitchen and sitting area. The centre of the village was v close by, easy stroll. Lots of parking immediately at the little building and off the road.

Location was great. The apartment was clean. The shower had enough hot water for 4 showers in the morning.

Wish the windows had mesh coverings. The bugs and flies kept coming into the property. Also, wish there were basic amenities like paper towels, coffee supplies!

It was clean and the views from the property were good

One of the beds smelled of urine and was damp. The showers are poorly designed such that water floods the entire bathroom. A longer shower curtain could fix that, or raised tiles along the shower entrance. More hooks would be useful in the bathroom and bedrooms.

Host was responsive to a late night message and accommodated our concerns with the property quickly.

We had trouble finding the apt as it wasn't clear where the used car place was. We did eventually spot the Portmagee Village Apartments sign and investigated that property but could not see any number on the door and didn't spot the lockbox. Eventually we pulled up at the house next to the used cars and the owners son confirmed that we had been at the right place. We had seen a sign for a Car Sales place which we mistook for the used car place mentioned in the directions. Making the distinction clear would have helped and placing Apt Numbers on the front door and the lock boxes would have helped. We still hadn't received the code by 4 and I had to remind the owner.

Breakfast not included. Good location for restaurants and ferry to Skelligs Compact but well thought out and finding tea and coffee supplied was a plus.

The apartment was very small. There was no living room, only a kitchen and two small bedrooms. There was no chair to put your clothes on, only the floor. There was no place to put your toileteries, only the floor, which was easily flooded because of the shower curtain being too short. There was no floor wiper nor a bath mat to dry the wet floor. There was no coffee maker.

Everything was brand new and clean. The owner was friendly and flexible to allow an early check in. Plenty parking space. Perfect location. Wifi worked well.

No downsides we can think of. Only maybe the seating area. It was a bit small for four people to relax. The sofa was big enough for three at a squeeze, and there were two stools.

Not much to say, really. It was exactly as expected. Two good-sized rooms with double beds, a kitchen area, and a seating area. You share the building with another apartment and use the same front door, but we didn't meet them at all. We went on a Skellig Michael landing tour, and they graciously allowed us to leave our car there. It was a five-minute walk to where you meet the skippers. There's also amazing food a four- to five-minute walk away.

Clean apartment in good location, but (too) small for four adults

    • Two-Bedroom Apartment
    • Stayed 2 nights

We were two couples, and the apartment is (too) small for four adults, especially as the weather was quite rainy while we stayed (our trip to Skellig Michael was cancelled due to rough weather). There is only a sofa and a high table with two stools, so no actual dining nor relaxing opportunity for four. Also cooking utensils are very basic, e.g. no scissors available

Great location in the Portmagee village, within short walking distance to the harbor and restaurants. Very bright and clean apartment.

We had a great time in Portmagee and the surrounding area. The apartment is in the perfect location to be walking distance (2 minutes) to the pub/restaurants in town while also being close to all of the sights and walks around. We also travelled to nearby towns over on Valentia Island and also over the other side of the Kerry Cliffs. There is a nice view from the kitchen window down onto the bay. And you’re very near the Skelligs!

The only problem was the weather was very bad and the wind was quite scary during the evening and the night. Something was banging quite a lot outside which scared the family. We had a breakage doing our stay and it was very hard to get hold of the Host as he was very busy,

Everything was brand new, which I did not expect at all and felt very spoilt. After a previous booking fell through three days before we were due to stay there, I felt very blessed found this property in time. It was fairly expensive in terms of what I'd planned to spend, but facilities were great and it was in a good location. Regarding the breakage, at check out i spoke to him in person and we quickly worked out me paying for a replacement.
