Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandThe shower from the room didn't have much pressure but it was still ok!
Where do I start? First of all, the hosts: Eilís and Tom are two legends! Eilís received us and showed us their place with unexpected kindness. She ensured we had everything we needed to be comfortable during our stay! Tom took his time and recommended us a route around Valentia Island that we couldn't thank him enough- it was absolutely brilliant! Apart from this, the breakfast was fantastic: abundant and adapted to our dietary needs. The room was perfect and with a spectacular view of the mountains. Sea Breeze B&B is a gem, so don't miss your chance to stay here!

United StatesEilis and Tom were phenomenal hosts. This B&B is very south on the ring of kerry, close to stunning attractions like Valentia Island. Every morning Eilis made us excellent breakfast and Tom created a wonderful and unique itinerary we never would have done without his guidance. This stay was one of the highlights of our trip!

This is such an extraordinary bed and breakfast house - a wonderful place. Ellis and Tom make you feel at home. Our room was fantastic, very clean and cosy and the breakfast was perfect! The house also has a wonderful conservatory in which we could spend our time in the evening. Ellis: you are really great and caring and gorgeous talking to and Tom: you are the perfect guide who gave us valuable recommendations for our sightseeing.

NetherlandsIt's not really a dislike, but just be aware that the B&B is on the edge of the town. For dinner, you can go to the town centre or the ferryport, as both are around 2.5 km away a car is handy to have.
Very friendly host, attentive to every guest. She collects left behind folders for other guests. So be sure to ask if there are folders of your next destination. Clean wel appointed rooms. Spacious parking. Amazing vieuws towards the sea.

LatviaWe are so grateful to the Kerry Way for bringing us to Elís. The welcome was incredibly warm and caring—it truly felt like visiting family. After a long day of hiking, this was the perfect place to recharge. The house is even more beautiful than in the photos, the atmosphere is wonderful, and the breakfast was fantastic. Thank you, Elís, for your kindness and heartfelt hospitality—we loved our stay!

United StatesThe property is absolutely stunning and beautifully decorated. The sun room is the perfect place to relax, read a book, or do a puzzle. Breakfast was also delicious and you are given options for what you'd like. The entire breakfast spread is wonderful and the room where you eat is cozy and inviting. The most exceptional part of this bed and breakfast though are the owners. They are such kind people who truly value making your stay as comfortable as possible. My brother and I took public transportation all throughout Ireland, and they gave us rides to the ferry and to our bus stop. We also enjoyed talking with them and sharing a little of our background. I think their kindness is infectious. Every person we encountered during our stay was lovely, and that starts with creating a great B&B atmosphere. If you get the chance, the tetrapod footprints on Valentia Island are unlike anything I've seen before, and one of the owners was involved in the discovery! Overall, this was our favorite stop during our trip and anybody would be lucky to stay at Sea Breeze!

SpainThis was an ideal place to stay for exploring the Kerry Cliffs, Valentia Island, and catching a boat to the Skellig Islands from Portmagee. The location couldn’t have been more convenient. The house itself is beautiful from the outside and set in a very peaceful area, with private parking available on the property. Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed, including a well-equipped bathroom. Breakfast was a real highlight — homemade and delicious, prepared by the lovely couple who run the place. They were incredibly friendly, always smiling and available for anything we needed. They even asked us what time we’d prefer breakfast, which was perfect for our scheduled excursion. A charming and restful stay in a great location — highly recommended.

IrelandWe really enjoyed our stay with Eilis and Tommy over the August Bank Holiday weekend when we explored the West Coast of Ireland on our motorbike. They looked after us very well, lovely breakfast and amazing location on the Ring of Kerry. As it started raining in the evening they kindly offered us a lift into town for dinner, and Tommy showed us his beautiful vintage car before we left. Would recommend 100%.
