This lovely residential B&B in Galway city was perfect for a brief stop on the way to Connemara NP! It is ideally located near the city center, yet quiet and suburban in its setting. Bridie and George were wonderful hosts, and graciously accommodated my late check-in (I had done a day long tour of Innis Orr and couldn't arrive until 7). I still had time to take a lovely evening stroll through the park and the Latin Quarter and around Galway bay. Breakfast was wonderful, and I enjoyed a lovely chat with some fellow lodgers! Bridie introduced me to a wonderful new condiment that gave my eggs a nice little kick! Although my stay was brief, it was a joy - I definitely recommend booking with George and Bridie if your travels bring you through Galway city..

The location was walkable to all the areas we wanted to visit. The stay was incredibly clean and comfortable- we slept so well! Bridie went above and beyond to celebrate my daughter's birthday- it made the stay so special. Thank you!

Great location, a few minutes walk from a bustling downtown. One of our favorite breakfasts. And the host , Bridie, is a warm , bubbly, and friendly hostess! We loved her.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Sli Na Mara. Our hosts were very accommodating and friendly. We enjoyed having a lot of options for breakfast each morning. The B&B is a short walk to the city center which made our stay very convenient. We also enjoyed walking along the beach.

The ONLY thing I would suggest is to replace the electric tea kettle as (unless I was not seeing how it detaches) the kettle was all one piece which meant having to unplug it to fill and/or pour making it more of an effort than necessary to brew our tea easily. And this was complicated by the very short cord…I was always afraid I might accidentally spill the water - the room was so lovely I didn’t want to be responsible for marring it in any way by spilling. I didn’t spill so hurrah for me!

Bridie, our host, was Dee-lightful! Entire home was clean and fresh, with a location central to two very different areas of town we found entertaining. We were met when we arrived, shown our room, and our questions were answered…all went smoothly.

We spent two nights at Sli Na Mara in Galway and want to thank George and Bridie for their warm hospitality. They provided us with a comfortable room with a private bathroom, making our stay very pleasant. The B&B is conveniently located just a 10-minute walk from the city center, making it easy to explore Galway. The breakfast was excellent, perfectly attended and served, with a choice of several à la carte dishes, plus coffee, juices, and more. We were celebrating our 26th wedding anniversary, and they surprised us with a balloon in our room congratulating us—such a thoughtful touch that made our stay even more special. Highly recommended!

Had the best sleep of my life at Sli Na Mara! Bridie was an excellent host and made me feel instantly at home. She prepared a delicious breakfast for me slightly earlier than allowed to make sure I had enough time to make my ferry.

I was not 100% well when I arrived. Bridie was really kind and a great host. Due to my illness I was not able to fully walk around Galway the first night. I spent the majority of my time sleeping in the bed. The next morning I was feeling a bit better. Bridie was kind enough to let us stay parked at her place for a couple of hours so we could walk into town and take in the sights of Galway before we left. I appreciate her kindness and thoughtfulness.
