The Happy Pig is in an excellent location, away from the traffic noise of central Kenmare but just a 5-minute walk on a footpath into town. The B&B is charming, comfortable, and has excellent breakfasts. The host, Irma, has anticipated guests’ needs, and is a font of knowledge about the area. We hope to return someday.

It was a little confusing about where to go to reception when we arrived. But we were tired.

We loved the breakfast and the room. Everything was great. The bed was comfortable, very clean bathroom and convenient amenities. Irma made a terrific breakfast! We also got great directions and insight on our travel that day that really helped us avoid some unknown construction. The walk into town was easy. We loved the shops in Kenmare. Had an excellent dinner at a hotel within a very short walk on the advice of the staff. Thank you!

Everything was perfect

Irma and staff Maria and Claudia were super friendly and so helpful. Nothing was too much of a bother! The breakfast menu was exceptional :freshly baked bread and muffins plus choice of cooked meals, plenty of tea and coffee. Our room was spacious ,light and airy with little extra touches which made the room so welcoming. Irma and her staff have great local knowledge. As we were in Kenmare for a few days, Maria planned possible itineraries for us . Very easy to follow with maps! Irma had suggestions for pubs or restaurants . A short walk from the Happy Pig via Kerry Way takes you into Kenmare. The Happy Pig is a home away from home. Thank you Irma, Maria and Claudia !

Nothing - it was the highlight of a two-week trip to London and Ireland.

Perfect!!! Everything was lovely and welcoming. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-equipped. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful.

The warm welcome from Irma on arrival and Ms Pickles the dog was worth the drive. The house is beautiful with so much thought and quirkiness that each room has a special something. Breakfast was extraordinary and Claudia was lovely and friendly. Again the appearance of Pickles to assist with breakfast was an added bonus. Definitely stay here again and for longer next time.

Everything was wonderful. The host has thought of every detail that could make a stay comfortable and welcoming. Sparkling clean, lovely decor, great breakfast, good location with parking. Lovely outdoor seating too for sunny days. I only wish that I could have stayed longer.

The Happy Pig has a wonderful hostess and manager named Irma, who met us with tea, coffee and pie and gave us very good advice for our days in Kenmare. They served a delicious homemade breakfast every morning. The room was clean and very comfortable, especially the bed. The shower was great!

Irma was friendly and hospitable, especially as due to the weather we arrived much earlier than our expected check in. The rooms were excellent as was the breakfast. One of our favourite stays during our 2 weeks in Ireland.
