Wayside is an absolute gem! From the moment I arrived the hosts were warm and welcoming making me feel right at home after a day exploring and hiking through the wonderful Gap of Dunloe. The property is beautifully maintained with stunning views. Rooms are so clean and comfortable. Beds are top notch and pillows are superb quality. Really lucky to find this spot on my travels! Not to mention the traditional Irish breakfast with brown bread is a winner. Theresa and Eugene couldn’t be more helpful and I would highly recommend wayside. Thanks for an unforgettable stay. Can’t wait to return.

I had a really wonderful stay at Theresa’s B&B. Every morning started with a warm welcome and a delicious breakfast – the pancakes with fresh fruit were especially good. My room was comfortable and just a short walk from the beautiful Gap of Dunloe, which made it easy to explore the area on foot. The whole place is tastefully decorated and incredibly quiet – perfect for relaxing. As I was traveling alone, I really appreciated that Theresa took the time to sit with me and have a chat. She's a kind and thoughtful host who clearly cares about her guests. I felt very well taken care of and would definitely recommend staying here to anyone looking for a peaceful and friendly place to unwind. Thank you, Theresa!

Theresa & Eugene’s fine B&B is the ideal base for the Gap of Dunloe. I stayed with them for three nights. On arrival I was greeted warmly and Theresa made me a cup of tea. Just what I needed after a 6 hour drive! The famous Kate Kearney’s bar restaurant is fifteen minutes’ walk from the Wayside; Theresa very kindly offered me a lift, though I opted to walk for the exercise. Be careful on the road because there’s no footpath. Breakfast comprises a good choice of the full Irish breakfast (sausages, rashers, tomato, fried egg, black pudding, white pudding, toast. Or alternatively scrambled eggs and smoked salmon; or even baked beans on toast. I always had my good pot of Kerry tea. And fruit juice. I breakfasted at 8am. I stayed in Bedroom Four, and found the bed comfortable. My room had a shower and a wash hand basin. Everything was clean, neat and tidy. Killarney really is a wonderful place - so much to see and do.

Homely b&b right at the foot of the gap on dunloe. Kate kearneys traditional resturant and live music every night is a short way up the road towards the gap of dunloe. Our room was comfortable and Theresa was an amazing host ensuring our stay was perfect. Theresa is filled with local knowledge and advice for your stay wether it is sight seeing or hiking around the local mountains. Theresa makes a wonderful breakfast each morning. We couldn't fault our stay in Theresa and Eugene's home, we felt very welcome and comfortable and would highly recommend.

    Nothing - I had a wonderful stay.

A wonderful traditional B&B with outstanding hospitality. Theresa was a lovely host, providing tea and biscuits on arrival, giving great suggestions for local activities and serving wonderful breakfasts with her husband. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The location is great, with the Gap of Dunloe just down the road and the property has easy access to the Ring of Kerry and Dingle peninsula drives.

We stayed in the twin room where the shower was in the bedroom area which was a little strange for us - pillows where very hard and need to be replaced. there was a house rules sign that no washing was to be done in the rooms, where we prefer to be able to wash out our smalls as required.

Host was very hospitable and even had tea with us on our arrival. Close to walking tracks and live Trad music pub which plays each evening. Also a lovely quite area. Car parking on property was available. Crepes for breakfast were delicious.
