Ah - breakfast! Owner made waffles that morning - not to be missed! We did not have a good idea of what to picture going into this one, but it turned out to be great. We both thought the building was a converted retirement home; turns out the owner built it himself specifically for the B&B purpose, and it definitely works! Rooms are down hallways from a big main common room, with kitchen facilities off of that. Beds were the most comfortable I slept in our whole trip. The place is out in farmlands, with a view (rain permitting) of Hekla and northern lights!

Loa's Nest is a bit off the main road. We arrived a bit late but our keys had been prepared for us in the common area. We liked the free breakfast and the friendly staff.

There’s no A/C which is standard, but led to the room being a little warmer for our preference, but we opened a window and it was fine!

Loa’s Nest was a great stopping point from the Golden Circle to Vik. The place was warm and welcoming from check-in with great rooms and exceptional showers. At night, fellow guests were in the common area waiting on seeing the Northern Lights together and in the morning they served waffles and coffee/tea. I would stay here every time!

The fact we only had one night there 🤣

This was our favourite accommodation out of 4 on our trip to Iceland. Amazing space for guests to relax and mingle. The room was perfect for our needs and clean and fresh. The host is on hand from 8.00am making amazing waffles which were endless as was the coffee. He also took time to talk to us, giving us interesting facts about Iceland and Icelandic life.

It could get a bit crowded in the common kitchen dining area but I suppose it is a guesthouse. Shower does run out of hot water so may have to wait for a bit.

The cooking area in the kitchen was too small for the number of rooms and there was no freezer space in the fridge for guests. The rooms were too hot.

It was well designed, clean and as advertised. The beds and pillows were excellent, as was the shower.

Honestly, there wasn't anything to dislike about the place. It was one of the best places we stayed in Iceland.

I liked the unlimited waffles (provided you can eat) for breakfast! Delicious! Owner and staff were all friendly, approachable and easy to communicate with. Overall a very fuss-free, convenient and great restful stay.

Loa's Nest is a lovely place. Our room with private bath was modern and comfortable. The public area was so warm and friendly. There were people from all around the world having a cup of tea, reading a book, playing board games. There was also a very nice kitchen where we prepared a meal which saved a lot of money verses eating out. There is a large fridge with a designated place for each room to store food. Though it is not advertised, the owners made delicious waffles for the guest and seem to do so every morning. Also a shout out to son Unnar Ingi for a wonderful job in doing all of the laundry.
