FE Gisting is a beautiful old villa up the hill just off of central Akureyri. The room is full of vintage furniture (apart from the huge TV) and the free parking nearby made our stay nearly perfect. The city center is in walking distance, although a bit downhill. We enjoyed a fairly big room and the free coffee.

The location is amazing. The rooms are nice and the bed comfortable. Overall it's a nice place to stay for 2 nights and easy access to the center, swimming pool and gym just across the street..

A charming accommodation in the perfect location. Closed to downtown and the swimming pool, yet quiet at night. The staff was local and very friendly. I was on a conference but wanted to avoid the buzz of a big hotel. This place had all the comfort I needed and a good wifi connexion.

The place didn't had a kitchen that I could use. It still didn't matter for me and I would definetely return, because the house is just so cool nevertheless.

Honestly, this place blew my mind. I didn't rent a room here, I rented a freaking suite! It was ginourmous! The only place during my trip around Iceland that had a private bathroom. And it was actually a relatively cheap place, compared with other places I rented. Jesus, I felt like I was some kind of burguoisie lord.

My room was at the front of the building by the entry door, so I had to keep my blinds closed or everyone walking into the building (or on the street - I had windows facing both directions) would be looking into my room. The bathroom fan ran non-stop (the positive is, it was just like a white noise machine, so maybe it helped me sleep). ;)

This is a lovely, comfortable establishment which is very close to the town centre, offers easy parking out the front and the owner is a very genial and welcoming gentleman. Our room was very spacious and comfortable, had a lovely view over the town and provided everything we needed for our stay.

It was an old house renovated into a modern one. I liked the antique wooden scent combined with the modern look of the second-floor bathroom. Everybody had a great sleep.

We really enjoyed our stay at this place. The room was perfect for three people — very clean, comfortable, and the bathroom was absolutely beautiful. The host was very kind and went out of his way to provide us with forks, spoons, and a can opener so we could have our meal in the room. We really appreciated the thoughtfulness and hospitality. Would definitely recommend this place!

The place was amazing! Such a beautiful b&b. The room was big, spacious and beautifully decorated. The host was so sweet! We ended up adding on breakfast and he made us the best breakfast layout. Great location and very clean! Also the room had black out shades that helped with the light summer nights.

Honestly, this is the best room I have ever stayed in. Cozy with a soft bed, two windows. But most importantly: there was a PIANO in the room! My heart melted. I promise to come back if I am in these places again.

Gisli was very accommodating. Breakfast was extra but delicious and a great value. Really good coffee. The bathroom was huge with a tub and heated floors.

Location was easy to find and our room was very comfortable with ample parking on the street. Centre of town was down the road so easy to get to shopping and restaurants.
