The cottage we stayed in for two night was fabulous in every way. It was huge, and very well equipped. I especially liked the sharp kitchen knives. The hot tub was lovely to sink into after a long day sightseeing. The weather was against us, sadly, so no visible Northern Lights, but the peace and solitude were fantastic. The bed linens and towels were fresh and clean, and the accommodation guide provided before we arrived answered every possible question. WhatsApp communications with our hosts were always answered very promptly. To assist future guests: Do remember that these cottages are out in a rural area, and that the nearest food shops are 20 minutes away in Selfoss. Please also note that there is no freezer compartment in the fridge.

The sofa wasn't that comfortable, but we weren't there too long for it to be an issue. Honestly, the main problem was just other people, but you can't help who is booked in next door, that being said the hosts will speak to them if they leave their lights on when you are trying to watch the Northern lights :)

Location was brilliant for the Golden Vircle and we got to.see the Northern Lights, twice! The kitchen was well equipped and thr hosts were really quick to respond ro any questions. Info received in advance was really helpful for getting there, hot tub was awsome!

Expensive but worth it. Large modern design cabin with everything you need. Including your own private hot tub. Excellent location for seeing northern lights and exploring the golden circle.

The house is excellent in every form for a couple’s getaway: location, equipment, cozyness etc. We could even see the northern lights from the hot tub. The owners very super helpful and managed to arrange my special request as well. I can only recommend it to anyone! Thanks again Íris & Smari!

Beautiful location and an amazing cottage. Everything was well organized, great communication and very extensive information beforehand with all the information needed for the cottage. The kitchen and bathroom were very complete, big TV and we especially enjoyed the private hot tub. I would definately recommend this cottage for any future guests!

We wish there could be screens on the windows to prevent flies from coming in, somewhat of an inconvenience.

We enjoyed the hot tub, the setting, the kitchen and all the appliances.

Nothing negative to say, this place was great!! Just a small recommendation for the owners. It would have been really nice to have access to a 2nd set of towels. Between showering and the hot tub, the one set we were provided with was always wet.

The accommodations were clean and comfortable. The location was quiet and peaceful. We loved the natural spring fed hot tub - it was so relaxing after a day of site seeing! Also it was fun to be able to visit and interact with the nearby horses.

An absolute highlight on our 2-week Iceland trip. The place is spacious and very clean, extremely comfortable and well equipped. Spent most spare time in the perfectly temperate hot tub soaking in the midnight sun and the peace this place has. Communication was very proactive and friendly, 10/10, would love to move in right away ;)

Nice, quiet and private row of cabins with a beautiful view of the Icelandic countryside. A big bonus is the geothermal hot pot on the deck— hot water automatically cycles through, keeping it the perfect temperature with no chemicals. This is a big reason why we booked and it was amazing! We will definitely return!

We absolutely loved our 4-day stay at Eyvik Cottages in May 2025! The location was perfect—peaceful and secluded, yet still very convenient for exploring the Golden Circle. It felt like our own little slice of Icelandic countryside, with stunning views all around! The cottage itself was cozy and well-equipped, made it easy to cook meals and relax after a day of adventuring. We thoroughly enjoyed the private hot tub, outdoor grill and spacious deck—the perfect place to unwind and take in the beautiful scenery. If you're looking for a quiet retreat that still keeps you close to Iceland’s top sights, this is it. Highly recommend!

A hot tub, an outdoor BBQ and a fantastic view situated out in the countryside (Perfect spot to see the Northern Lights- if you are lucky enough). Cottage was fully equipped with everything you need for a getaway stay. Hosts were amazing and communication was great. Would highly recommend the cottages to anyone.

Everything was wonderful. We had a very comfortable 3 night stay. The cottage and the hot tub were very clean and the kitchen was well equiped with everything we needed. The location was convenient to all the sights in the area. The shower was nice and hot and the bed was comfortable. We definitely recommend staying here.

The bed was not comfy, it was too soft and I could feel my partner moving. I would still book this location in a heartbeat!

The view is amazing, if you like a quiet place in nature, this is it! I loved to sit on the couch and watch the landscapes. I was only sorry we did not book at least 2 nights
