Reviews of Garður Stay Inn & Secret Lagoon included!

You are steps away from the lagoon and can use it from check-in to check out during opening hours. We were able to visit the pool several times during our 2 night stay and visit some of the nearby sites. The room was spacious for 2 people with a seating area. The shared kitchen was nice, stocked with coffee and basic spices. The shared washer/dryer was also convenient.

When others were using the shared kitchen, it could be a little loud.

Cozy, inviting and comfortable room, with lovely, organic furnishings. The shared kitchen was super useful, clean, well organised and stocked with teas, coffee and fresh milk in the fridge. The staff were incredibly welcoming into the lagoon area.

This is a suggestion, not a criticism, I think you're missing a trick to enhance the outside entrance to the building and the same for the patio of the back garden as well.

This was probably the nicest room and accommodation during our 9 day stay in Iceland and also the most expensive. But considering that you get free entry to the lagoon the price is fair (keeping in mind that nothing comes cheap in Iceland). The room was big and nicely decorated. The kitchen, which is shared by four rooms, was very clean, warm, well organized and had nice crockery and cooking utensils. The lagoon looks out onto the fields and although it is not very big it's really lovely. Secret it is no more. I was amazed that 20 minutes after opening there were 2 busses, 2 minibuses and various individual travelers. It's great that as a guest you can just walk in and skip the queue. Bathrobes and towels are provided so you can shower in your room and don ´t have to use the communal shower in the spa.

The only room during our travel that was too cold, even though we turned the heating on full. The bathroom is small.

Obviously, the lagoon. Everybody was hospitable. Hotel needs were met. Perfect stay.

The unit was modern, spaces, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was big and well stocked with the essential. The common area was inviting, well equipped with everything for preparing a simple meal. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The access to Secret Lagoon perfected our stay.

Having access to the lagoon was wonderful! Our room and the shared kitchen were very clean. The second bed is actually a futon and not very comfortable.

Modern super spacious room and bathroom. Extremly clean and in the shared kitchen area plenty of tea and coffee and very creamy fresh milk. A washing and drying room that came in very handy.

Foregetting the sandwiches i had made the night before on our departure day. There was nothing we did not like about the place. We will look to stay here again in the future.

Great option to experience the Secret Lagoon staying next door. Lots of good walks and attractions nearby.

The room was a good size and had the most comfortable bed of our trip. The size was large for a family of 3 and the bathroom had a heated floor. Enjoyed the shared common area and the admission to the lagoon. It was very clean and quiet and wish we’d stayed another night.

LOVED this place, and I wish we could stay longer. Friendly and helpful staff, beautiful room, laundry & kitchen & coffee available in a common room, and access to the Lagoon included. The beds were super comfortable, the bathroom was nice, and the location is lovely.

Comfy beds, very clean room, great shower, and a nicely equipped large (shared) kitchen space and refrigerator where each room had it's own dedicated space. Being next to the lagoon with unlimited access and towels provided was a nice bonus! So great to relax after a hiking day, and being able to sleep in a quiet and comfortable room.

Exceptional! After a long drive, we checked into our beautiful apartment and were able to chill in the lagoon. The hosts let me check in earlier- that was very kind of them! Beautiful rooms with a shared kitchen. Super calm at night. I loved strolling around. Strongly recommend!

The whole experience is awesome. The 4 cabins with shared communal kitchen far exceeded the expectations and was just delightful. The room was large and comfy, the kitchen was super well stocked with everything you could ever need. The bonus was VIP entry to the Secret Lagoon hot springs which was such a treat.

Love the location and access to hot spring

You couldn’t adjust the room temp. When we first arrived, the room was extremely hot.

Beautiful location, loved that Secret Lagoon, robe and slippers were included, airy, spacious room, and very nice kitchen.

Our door was squeaky which probably annoyed our housemates and one of the curtains needed to be charged in order to come down, pungent smell in common area (maybe from previous guests) and many flies coming in through open window. Fly situation needs to be managed - fly spray for all to use would be helpful.
