- Flexible self-check in - Scenic and convenient location with the ocean on one side and dramatic cliffs on the other side (5min drive to the black sand beach and 10mins into Vik where a the stores are) - Very clean and well maintained guesthouse - Fully stocked kitchen with oil/ spices/ salt/ cereals and cutlery - Clean communal toilets and showers - Comfortable beds in the rooms (it was a twin bed for a couple but we did not mind) -

We stayed for two nights and on the second day they were paving the parking lot and it made it not possible to access our rooms. We made plans to come back for lunch that day and change attire but that was not possible. Not the end of the world but a heads up would have been greatly appreciated.

Great location for the start of a road trip. The shared kitchen allowed us to freeze water for a cooler and save on expenses with homemade food. The location provided quiet nights with close proximity to the ocean yet close to available activities in Vik.

The common area, kitchen in particular was not very clean. There were a group of spanish guests who were very loud. The price for the facilities was way to high. Considering the shower was not in the room!

Guesthouse has a great view on Black Sands Beach, very close to Vik, quiet and very clean. Communal kitchen is sully equipped (fridge, freezer, kettle, dishwasher, stove etc.)

No sound proofing, very noisy. Not due to people being rude but just from normal activity. I had a room that included a bathroom but it is very tiny and hard to move around and it doesn't include a bath or a shower Room is small

I liked the facilities overall, everything was clean and handy. It was very easy to park, kitchen had everything I needed, bathrooms were also super fine and the room was confortable.

Was like a hostel with toilets in room. Very clean. Didn’t use hall showers but they appeared available. Sea view was exceptional. We brought breakfast (great grocery in Vik - 12 minutes). Kitchen was busy in am. Well stocked. Everyone thoroughly cleaned up their “mess”.

Nobody welcomes you, the shared space was full of people all the time, noise from the shared space after midnight, the toilets are not enough and you have to wait in the morning. The building is not well isolated and there is a strong noise outside from the wind.

The amount of toilets for the amount of rooms available are questionable. It also feels expensive for a room, but this is Iceland...

Location is good, very short drive to Vik and the black beach. Kitchen is well equipped and enough seating when dining. Check in was easy.

LOTS OF Flies in the kitchen .Must control with fly paper or clean kitchen well.Refrigerator is dirty , garbage must be covered.Other than that rooms bathrooms clean

The quality of the kitchen and dining area was a great surprise, as were the shower facilities (they have proper cubicles). The free coffee was a bonus too!

On the downside, the shower was outside the room. It didn’t really affect our stay, but it should be made clearer when booking. The price also feels way too high for what it offers – although we know this is quite typical in Iceland.

Overall, the guesthouse did the job. The room was comfortable, quiet, and had a nice view from the window. The dining room had everything we needed for cooking and eating, and the place was generally clean and peaceful.

The "privet bathroom" does not include a shower. If I had known this, I would have choose a different room.

We really liked the facility - A good size room, kitchen and spacious dining hall. The owner was very responsive to our request of adding an additional mattress in the room, which really helped us a lot. Since it is very close to Reynisjfara Beach - location is perfect to visit Dyraholaey[Puffin watching] and black sand beach [Basalt column]

Everything was very pleasant

Recently fitted room with modern decor and en-suite toilet, as well as a great view over the bay. Large shared kitchen fully equipped and very quiet atmosphere all in all.
