Stay was very basic and not value for money. There was a smell in room and bed was very small. Cooking area can get very busy for the number of people the property can have stay.

No dish cleaning sponge. Shower room pathetically small and water stops every minute, has too keep pushing to keep water flowing It is very odd that customers were required to take out the bedding covers, pillow, comforter and bedsheets. This obviously should be staffs job. Price does not reflect the value.

The room was warm, so I wish we could have opened the window more.

We had a double bunk room and appreciated the room. It was basic but to be expected for a hostel. Everything was clean and it was easy to find. It was nice having a private sink in the room.

There were only two toilets in the entire hostel. There are no staff at the hostel.

The Vagnsstadir Hostel was clean, the instructions were clear to self-check in, and it was in a beautiful location. We got our own room with a bunk bed that we could lock.

Not enough toilets - only one on each floor. Kitchen facilities were quite poor and old.

Easy self check-in. Comfortable beds, very beautiful dining area (veranda with large windows everywhere) with a great view to the wonderful nature. Perfect location.

To few toilets for the total number of beds. However, we did not personaly experience difficulties regarding this issue and the toilet we used was always clean.

We Had a room in the main building, close to toilet, showers, and kitchen. The room was basic but comfortable. Kitchen and dining area was spacious and well equiped. Alltogether, it was a very good experience.

We stayed in the main building and slept horribly, mainly due to the quality of the beds in our family room. The double bunkbeds make a horrible squeaking noise whenever anyone moves, which x4 means waking each-other up countless times during the night. And if it isn’t the beds, it’s everybody’s squeaking doorhandles, from the rooms to the toilets.

Nice guesthouse, situated in a beautiful landscape, only 20 minutes from Diamond Beach and 30 minutes from Höfn. Everything you could need is available on-site. A large shared kitchen, breakfast or dining room, sitting room, etc.

We had a room in the guest house. Other options might have been better, but this one had a stinky and warm entrance room with shoe racks. The common kitchen was dirty. The shower cabins had broken doors. Hangers were only inside the cabins, so you couldn’t place your things outside. The walls were thin—you could hear if someone opened a soda on the other side of the building and even tell the brand by the sound. NOISY, LOUD doors—after 6 a.m., there was constant door shutting. It would be so cheap to stick something on them to dampen the noise… One pillow per person. I prefer two. Another thing: you have to remove the bed sheets and take them out yourself. Nonsense for the price. OK in a youth hostel, but not in a guesthouse. Early check-out time for the season..

The host was cool. The location is great The option for self check-in is nice, especially in the long days of summer. The kitchen is well equipped and the eating area on the terrace is nice. Comfortable beds.

Some people were coming in and out and were very noisy from about 10:15-11 PM (after quiet hours begin); it was pretty disruptive for sleep.

We didn't pay for the breakfast, but the dining area was beautiful.
