This property is fabulous, The host Marco was always on hand and is very warm, friendly and approachable. He was communicative and helpful with every need. The property is very clean & comfortable with all the necessities, There is also the added bonus of a little kitchen and fridge to store your local produce which is super convenient. It is in a great location, so close to the city and all its offerings, but in a really lovely peaceful area with lots of lovely local bakeries, restaurants with some glorious local fruit & veg shops and markets close by, This is one of my favorite parts of Firenze.

This B&B is in the Oltrano section of Florence, across the river from some of the main city attractions but most are within a 30 mins to hour walk depending on your walking speed. If you don’t want to walk, there is a bus stop very close by, and a tram stop that is a 12 min walk. We had a beautiful walk to the Accademia Gallery one morning. Our room was spacious and comfortable, complete with air conditioning and our own bathroom with a shower. There is a supermarket close by and a common area with a kitchen you can access. We stayed at 2 other places in Florence and this B&B had the most reliable WiFi. For breakfast, you get coupons and go to the end of the street to the café where you get 2 pastries and a café/cappuccino or tea. The pastries are outstanding! Marco is extremely helpful, we were very successful in messaging him via WhatsApp with any questions we had. He provided us a map upon check in and pointed out some locations. Be prepared to pay the room tax in cash upon check in. We enjoyed our stay there.

Could a bit far from the town centre for some people. It was OK for me to walk 20-40 min to or from this place.

Comfortable, clean place. Breakfast in the café (two pastries + coffee) around the corner. Bus stop is 2 min from the hotel.

Hot water problem. No hot water or not enough hot in the middle of use. Reported to management. I hope it is for the time being and in my 2 nights' time.

Good experience! The room was spacious and clean , and the host was friendly and polite. The location was very convenient, with a bus stop nearby that made it easy to get to Santa Maria Novella station. There were also several restaurants in the area.

I can honestly say that this was one of the best accommodations I ever found, especially in price / quality terms. The host, Marco, is incredible. He had given me a map of Florence, made sure I know where everything is, and gave recommendations for restaurants and places to go to. He replied quickly to all my messages and questions, and he was very pleasant! The room was exactly what I needed and it was very clean. The area is peaceful and is just a walk away from all tourist attractions. Public transportation is very close for those who want to go further. If you want to spend your day out exploring Florence / Tuscany but want a nice and peaceful room to stay in, I highly recommend this place. I will be coming back myself as soon as I can.

The hotel interior needs updating. Brakfast includs only one cup of coffee/tea and sweets two peace (thats all). In my opinion value of money is a little expensive :)

The main problem is a very poor sound insulation, you can hear each step of neighbours above or from the stairs

Marco who works there was very professional and nice. Starting from the first message and till the end of my stay the comunicaton was clear and timely, all requests were fulfilled and I've also got few pieces of very valuable advice regarding restraiunrs and museums

The owner of the place is super nice and helpful. I had a very nice stay, everything was fine. It’s relatively close to the city center (10-15 minutes walk). The room was clean. There is even a small balcony. I will come again to Calcio Storico.
