There is nothing to dislike if you like B&B’s in building with a history instead of brand new hotel rooms.

We arrived in Parma with a open mind. We had no idea what to expect after booking the B&B la Bugia di Villa Tanza for our one whole day, and two nights stay. We were very pleasantly surprised by the hospitality and kindness of our host Louisa. The stay in tho old mansion was a voyage back in time. After a hearty walk to and from Parma centre (9km walk) Louisa treated us to some typical Italian snacks and a lovely chat about living in Italy with all its charms. Of course we talked about food. Louisa is an excellent certified Chef! So much different than booking a hotel room. This difference is the reason why we will always choose a B&B over a hotel room. The bed could have been better, but compared to the overall experience that's an insignificant detail.

It's an incredibly charming place a few minutes from Parma by car. The host was wonderful and made us feel very welcome.

Beautiful stay and lovely host! A beautiful old home which felt quintessentially Italian. Enjoyed a walk from here into Parma and back. Luisa the host went above and beyond - the most spectacular breakfast and a warm welcome. Wish we could have stayed longer!

The garden is a lovely retreat in a busy city and Louisa the host was so fun and kind.

We stayed for two nights and really enjoyed the lovely city of Parma. The place was beautiful, and the room was cozy and clean. Our stay was made even better thanks to our super kind and caring host, Louisa. A big tip: have dinner at the place — it’s delicious, relaxing, and the best part is that you can both enjoy the great wines she serves!

Lovely peaceful stay in the outskirts of Parma but only a 10 minute drive in. Wonderful host who rustled up a last minute dinner for us, and great breakfasts. A little quirky oasis.

The only thing I would have liked was a key to the room , not because I was worried about the hosts, they seemed to be a hundred percent trustful but I guess you never know what the other guests would be like. There was also no airconditioning and we happened to arrive in a heatwave but the shutters kept the room a little bit cool and we were provided with a fan which made sleeping fine.

Absolutely everything, the room, the food, the hosts, the villa, the location and a sense that you had gone back in time. We loved the hills around Parma and just loved the way we were treated like family. If ever you are travelling to this region you must stay here.

No hot food for breakfast and breakfast was only offered from 8:30am which was a little late for us.

Very friendly lady and plenty on offer for breakfast. Beautiful property and lovely room with extra big bathroom. The lady suggested a fantastic restaurant and we were so glad to have that recommendation.

Very friendly host. The B&B is in a beautiful city villa with a nice garden. Lovely place when you are travelling but also to stay a couple of days when you visit Parma. You feel like you are in an Italian movie.

On a short trip to Parma we located this bed and breakfast minutes from the center. A hotel that made me feel like Italians used to live. Surrounded by a beautiful garden and best of all is the wonderful attention of Mrs. Luisa. Thank you for pampering us and making our stay as pleasant as possible. We wil come back

I highly recommend the accomodation. It's close to Uni of Parma and is very quite. The room is clean and spacious and well facilated. The owner is very friendly and offer good breakfast. Everything was good with the accomodation. I enjoyed my staying there very much.

Everything was wonderful.

The warm welcome despite our sudden arrival that we booked at the last minute. Louise is a wonderful hostess and baker. She made us feel so at home that my son said that it reminded us of spending time at Nonna’s (Grandma’s) house. ♥️

The staff not answering the doorbell, ignoring messages on the app and not answering the phone. It’s not good enough.

The staff were not available at check in time to let me in, I waited an hour and then left.

To be picky, a big selection of sweet things for breakfast. Perhaps lessen the sweet and add some more savoury for variety!

The owner was delightful and friendly. Perfect stay with a dog. Absolutely fine for a one night stop.

The mattress wasn’t super comfortable and some windows screens/nets to protect you from mosquitoes would be absolutely necessary in the heat of the Italian summer.

Property was very quaint with a lovely retro style. It really reminded me of my great nonna house
