Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicThe bed and wardrobe in our room had seen better days. Bed frame was loud when turning and the mattress was worn off.
The location is perfect with a walking distance to the city centre. The accommodation is nice and clean with pleasant staff and breakfast room. A plus was the option to park a car even for an additional charge.

AustraliaNothing to fault
The property is in a great location; it is in a quiet street that leads to the Piazza del Duomo after an easy 10min walk. It is also a 5min walk to the Galleria dell’Academia where you can see the original statue of David by Michelangelo. We stayed in a suite, it was a very large room with a separate bedroom and a very comfy bed, separate lounge area and separate bathroom all in all 40sqm plus a good size external balcony. The breakfast at the property was great, you could pick from a menu what you wanted, which you could either have in your room or in the dinning area in the morning. We also stayed one night in a single room which was smaller but also great. The property is fresh and has a reception desk manned from 8am to 5pm. The staff and owner (Giada) are knowledgeable and willing to share information about what to do and see in Florence. We were even given an itinerary of what to do while in Florence. The property has secure private parking next door for a fee. All in all a great stay and we would definitely stay here again if visiting.

Well located, public transport, many sights, shops, restaurants in walking distance. Staff was incredibly nice and helpful. Breakfast menu a la carte (you order the day before), so all was freshly made.

South AfricaFinding the property was challenging while driving as the sign was under a small tree, and we literally had to count the building numbers to spot it on the second time around the block. The breakfast selection is limited and not very Italian and lacks fruit and vegetable options. It's not a traditional B&B and more like rooms with a reception, dining area, and kitchen - a little cold and impersonal.
The room was a good size with a lovely bathroom. The bed was comfortable. I enjoyed the WhatsApp communication regarding the check-in process and breakfast selection. The parking was right next to the building - outdoor parking but very easy to navigate. The B&B is within walking distance of the Duomo and good restaurants. Breakfast was good.

CanadaA la carte breakfast supposed to be a great idea....it was just ok with limited choices especially if you are vegetarian or vegan. Also u need to order breakfast "online" and to pick a specific time....a bit limiting your choices.
Location....Location...Location, comfortable room.

United StatesYousef and other staff very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is amazing. The location is nice a short walk to everything and not in the hubbub. Tram right outside the location takes to you the train station and airport. Just be sure to validate your ticket so you don't get fined.

AustraliaLoved everything about this accomodation - great value for money. Very clean, comfortable and spacious rooms. The included breakfast is great value. Friendly staff. The location (being a short walk from the busy streets) suites us, but it might be a little to far away from the hustle and bustle for some people.

United KingdomThe main thing that let this property down was the cleanliness. I happened to drop something by my bed and when I looked underneath it, it was dusty. There are also a lot of mosquitos which was evident from all the dead ones on the walls. What I didn't realise was that the diffuser I saw in the wall was actually a repellent and not a scented one as I initially thought. So, if you do stay here (and despite these few things I do still recommend) make sure the diffuser is showing a bright red light which means it's on so you don't get bit like I did! Also my travel adaptors didn't fit in sockets near the bed.
The location was perfect - a short walk from the Duomo but far enough away so you don't have all the hustle and bustle of tourists. There is a tram stop right outside which would be the one to take you back to the airport or to the train station if you're taking a day trip to neighbouring towns like Pisa. The one from the airport to the property is about 6 mins away. The breakfast was delicious! The tastiest eggs I've ever had. There are a good mix of options which you pre-order the day before using an individual link, and you can choose to have breakfast in your room or the dining area. The AC was good, I had a nice balcony and a TV with maybe too many channels. The room itself was huge, I liked that there was a separate area behind the wall behind the bed. The bathroom was big as well, the shower had good water pressure although the water was a bit cold a couple of times.

PortugalThe shower was tricky, even though the staff showed us how to use it, it was uncomfortable to turning it on and finding the right regime. The water pressure was very low, so it wasn’t very comfortable to shower. Although, there was a small electric kettle in the room, but no tea, coffee, or cups. To get a tea bag, you had to leave the room and go to the hall, but there was still no coffee. Coffee could only be ordered from the room service.
Apartment was very clean and beautiful, good design and very comfortable bed, good lighting.
