The location is so convenient and easy to get around yet it’s away from the busy touristy center. It’s like having a little slice of local life in Florence.

    Nothing, everything was perfect

Location good, Thomasso and his wife were so welcoming, our en suite room, was lovely and made up every day, with a fridge too that was so helpful. We were given breakfast vouchers for a nearby cafe, which was exceptionally good, we bought other things there too, coffee and fresh squeezed orange and lemon juice delicious.

We did book for breakfast when we booked, at first a bit disappointed that we had to eat out, but actually we really liked Buonemici cafe. We just took some yoghurt to eat in our room first thing and went out for a lovely brunch.

The location was very good. Host friendly.

The photos did not represent this bnb accurately.these photos were obviously taken a long time ago, our room which was in the loft, certainly did not match the advertised photos. The room was run down and in need of maintenance, the bed was in the eaves where you have to stoop right over to get into bed, after banging your head on the beams. The spare mattress on the floor was stained, There was not enough drawers or cupboard space for clothes. The bathroom was ok quite big, but again to take a shower you had to kneel in the bath as the ceiling was so low, this should be mentioned in the description of the property. Switches had blanking cover missing. The kitchen was advertised as having coffee machine, the fridge wouldn't shut door was hanging down. After seeing all the amazing reviews of this bnb, we were very disappointed at how our room was so run down.

    Property response:

Dear ANONYMOUS guest, The house where the B&B is located is a 1920s villa, which has been renovated many times, but it's still a historic villa. If you prefer a modern home like in Los Angeles, this isn't the place for you. The room you booked is a loft on the top floor with exposed beams, so it's lower in some areas, as you can see from the photos. We're sorry you didn't enjoy your stay. Next time, please ask the host directly if we can accommodate your preferences. Best regards Marta

What a lovely time I had here! The usual hosts were on holiday and instead I was warmly welcomed and well looked after by Donatella (host's mother), who was by far the best asset to this lovely place! I had the annex at the top of the B&B which was clean, roomy and relaxed. Very little noise from below. Lovely balcony with remote controlled canopy (this does go back in with the slightest of wind though). Well stocked little kitchen. Donatella sat me down and went through some handy tips for the City and neighbourhood. Lovely neighbourhood. I travelled solo, early morning and late at night, and never felt unsafe. The B&B is about 25 minutes walk from the city centre. Wonderful breakfast (between 8.30-10.30) of yoghurt and fruit or eggs, bruschetta and yoghurt. Croissants and fruit on the table. Shared with the other guests. Thanks so much for your hospitality Donatella! I will be back and next time will bring a guest!

Top floor annexe is up 3 flights of steep-ish steps (as to be expected in this part of the world and not a problem for me with me very basic fitness level) Annexe shower has a sloped roof. I am 5'3 and my head was touching the ceiling. I didn't mind this but be aware if you're taller than me!

    Grazie mille!

This place feels like home, like you are visiting the good friends in Italy :) Everything worked perfectly, the breakfasts were amazing and made with a lot of love! Very clean and very cosy, nice atmosphere, very kind and friendly hosts! I have damaged my feet and couldn’t walk the last day, so they kindly allowed me to check out later, and use the common space while waiting for leaving to the airport :) I was offered water, coffee, fruits, medicines for the feet, protective tape so I could walk… they also called me a taxi in the end… thank you so much for caring for me! And making sure I rest well even after the check out! It’s and exceptional experience and very, very good people who run this place! ❤️

Exceptionally friendly hosts that warmly welcomed us! Breakfast in the garden was really good and it was so nice to talk to other travellers as well when we all shared the same table. Location is a bit further from the city center, however it gives you a glimpse of the authentic living in Florence. The room was nice and everything worked really well. Definitely coming back to here if we ever return to Florence!

Everything! The hosts are so friendly and helpful. The breakfasts are wonderful and you can eat outside if the weather is fine. Spotlessly clean. Just a few minutes easy walk from the city, it is so peaceful to return to after the business of the centre of Florence. Very close to the Boboli Gardens and Palazzo Pitti.

    Nothing! It's superb here.

Marta went out of her way to make me feel at home and ensured a super warm welcome. Oh and… the breakfast was absolutely delicious (and presented beautifully). I was worried about the location in advance but actually…. Being outside of the centre offered a much more authentic experience. The local restaurants are great. All in all I would most definitely recommend this lovely B&B.
