How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewSuch a cute place! Clean, nicely decorated & very roomy. Loved our patio area. The staff made great cappuccinos in the morning. Good little selection for breakfast . They were really helpful in "trying" to get us cabs. But in Florence its not always possible. Would stay again . Some nice restaurants, bakeries & stores nearby .
Although we thought this place was great, we found it was always a 30 minute walk to wherever we needed to go (main city area). That's where all our meeting points were for tours, so keep that in mind. If you leave early enough, you can catch a cab at one of the cab stops about five minute walk away. But you do wait for cabs In Florence so be prepared. This has nothing to do with the hotel. They're just not readily available.

Verified reviewWe stayed at B&B The Attico with my family and had a wonderful experience. The location is excellent – close to the main attractions yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and nicely maintained, with everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The highlight was the warm hospitality – the host was very welcoming, helpful with recommendations, and made us feel at home. Breakfast was fresh and a great start to the day, enjoyed on the lovely terrace with beautiful views. It was a perfect spot for our family trip, and we would happily stay here again when visiting Florence. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a cozy, family-friendly place with a personal touch.

Verified reviewRoom was so lovely,clean and modern. Location is pretty good as well, for tourist spot. If you love walking definitely this place is a good place to stay. Just want to say Rumesh as well for assisting me, on the check out time and booking taxi for and my partner. Food for breakfast is nice also.
The noise from the doorbell is quite loud. Looks like there is forming moulds on the toilet in our room.

Verified reviewAmazing property and great view. Every morning we were greeted cheerfully for the breakfast and the staff was also very helpful. Great stay and a very good experience. We will come back to Florence for sure.
It was a little far from the center. But everything else including the transport system was so good that it was still almost a negligible thing. I would still book the property again if I had a chance.

Small rooms, felt like student accommodation with basic furnishings. Walls very thin, quite loud during breakfast etc. Location very far out from center of Florence with all attractions being a 25-30 min walk - was near a bus stop however that was semi reliable.

Verified reviewB+B Attico is in a really good location - 20/25 minute walk to the Duomo and the centre of the city. The local area has good restaurants and cafes and a really buzzy atmosphere at night. Our room was great - a good size with a terrace looking out towards the hillls and breakfast is good. Niccolo, was so friendly and helpful answering all of our questions with a smile - he was great.
We really enjoyed our stay and only had one issue during our visit. We didn't check in online in advance and you really need to do that so that you have instructions on how to access the property. We didn't have those and couldn't get in when we arrived. We spent some time trying to contact someone but when we did manage to message via Booking.com the problem was quickly solved.

Verified reviewThe staff which was just one lady, was very nice and helpful, And the fact that tap water is drinkable was really nice. Breakfast was very good btw. The best part was the nice cleaning lady super nice and friendly.
AC, never worked properly even tho we follow step by step the instructions, last night I had to open the window because the room was really hot. Safe never really worked either so we kept our valuable stuff in our suitcases. Minibar was too noisy at night.
