Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

It is an old building with traditional Italian interwar technique. A large wooden door for the general entrance, patio and then stairs-rooms-houses etc inside. The layout was a bit strange for me but maybe others will find it attractive traditional style. The room has high ceilings and a toilet as a new-additional room inside the bedroom. I think that for the money I paid everything was good.

Everything was great
Everything was great. Property is close to the train station, the room is really nice and spacious and the toilet was clean. Carlo is so adorable he would write to ask if everything is going well.

The external bathroom is down a shared hall - this was our fault for not realising but worth noting!
The property was in a great location. Looked exactly like the pictures. We were allowed to check-in early. Very helpful host and cleaner.

Excellent location. This is charming residence close to many shops and Resteraunts. Beautiful ceiling and hot shower made this an excellent choice. Host was very accommodating.

The only negative to the stay here was that the room was inside and therefore there was no window to let fresh air in. The window opened out on the corridor.
The location was great, just 12-14 mins walk from the port/main train station and in the centre for bars, restaurants and the supermarket. Room was very clean and equipped with mini fridge, coffee machine, air con, Netflix, desk and hair dryer.

The building and the room are beautiful. The room was enormous, bright and lovely, with a view onto an attractive street. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the facilities were fabulous. Having the coffee-maker was a lovely touch. We would definitely choose to stay here again. The information we were given for access was clear and helpful.

I liked everything. A shelf in the bathroom by the sink would have been useful. Potentially having some of the signs in English would have been useful too. They’re only small things.
The room was lovely and had everything I needed. The amenities (AC, coffee machine, mini fridge and hairdryer, mini toiletries) were very appreciated! It was very clean and fresh and the bed was comfortable. The location was ideal for me as it was in the heart of the city centre. Storage in the room was good too. I felt the price was reasonable for its location in the city.

Apartment complex located up flights of stairs so take care if bringing large suitcases. The door to the room must be fully closed at all times or else the electricity switches off

The bathroom was not directly connected to the room, which was totally fine but a little annoying sometimes.
We had a great stay at Borgo Antico Rooms. The room was super new and the bed very comfortable. Everything was super clean, the coffee machine was great and the location of the apartment was just perfect.

the place is located in a very strategic position a few steps from the train station and the hydrofoil terminal and from the motorway entrances. As soon as I entered I immediately noticed that the air was very fresh and fragrant. The room is large with a ceiling almost 5 meters high, equipped with all comforts, including an incredible mattress on which I slept like I hadn't for years. In the room I found a small breakfast, Italian espresso coffee, personalized biscuits and mineral water, included in the cost of the room. Highly recommended.
