Our stay was too short!!!

This is the most beautiful village with stunning views of the lake. In the morning a wonderful farmer called Roberto brought fresh bread and eggs and sang for us. We love the atmosphere and friendliness of the village - unreservedly recommended to all ❤️

Everything was perfect.

Borgo Paradiso is located on a rather steep hill and allows a spectacular view over the roofs of Maccagno to Lago Maggiore. Our guest house was more than 100 years old, but nicely renovated. Our 2 rooms were on each side of a fully equipped kitchen with access to a balcony. The rooms had a good size, a wooden ceiling, and very comfortable beds. The bathroom had a good size and even a window! Our host Charlene spoke excellent English and was extremely nice and helpful. She offered us a gift of blueberry jam and honey and a coupon for free ice cream in the village. She also sent us advice for restaurants and which sights to see at Maccagno. Also the farmer who brought the breakfast (with fresh bread, cake, cheese and prosciutto) was very nice and made us feel welcome.

Borgo paradisio is a really nice and confortable place to stay, breakfast generous, well furnished kitchen and quiet place. Lake view room really worth it. The team is welcoming, helpfull, available, special thanks to Charlene. We recommand this place

Quite difficult getting suitcase up and down so travel light.

Wonderfully situated in the mountains with great walks straight from property. Good facilities and fantastic breakfast in an authentic car free Italian hamlet. There were 2 kitchens as well as the possibility to use washing machine!

We were very well received by the host who was very responsive. The guest house on a hill above Maccagno, 20 minutes walk up if you are sporty. It is very quiet, and has amazing views over Lago. The room itself is very cosy, and the kitchen downstairs is well stocked and equipped. Thoroughly recommend as a base to stay

The house itself is magnificent but quite a walk from town. Would recommend a car to get up the hill from the lakeside.

Borgo Paradiso is in a stunning location and the view we had of lake Maggiore was truly magnificent. The room was tastefully redocorated and had everything you would need for a short stay in the spectacularly beautiful Italian lakes. The kitchen was fully stocked for breakfast with everything you could need to set you up for the day.

Exceptionally friendly and attentive hosts. 24/7 access to a small kitchen complete with cereals, pastry, fruit, tea, etc. We particularly loved the location - it is in the heart of the old upper town, cobbled paths and no roads around. We could sleep with the windows open and could not hear a peep. Yes, it is a bit of a tough ride up if you come by bicycle, especially when you are fully loaded with pizza and pasta, but the atmosphere and the view more than make up for that. If taking the stairs, and takes about 20 minutes to get to the „bottom“ of Maccagno or back and the walk is marvellous too.

Brisse was so helpful and Sweet! Such a nice cozy place with good breakfast 😊 if you don’t mind a few stairs, I will say it was at nice and easy walk to a very beautiful and free beach park!

Just a little hard to locate- just needs a signpost!

It was comfortable, clean with a great view. Staff were super helpful and having a kitchen was a bonus. Excellent breakfast included. Free parking.
