Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe bed could be more comfortable, but it's not a big deal.
I stayed in the sensation room with my family and a 2-year-old. The unit has a balcony attached, and the view was spectacular! I loved waking up and sleeping to the beautiful coastline. The location of the hotel is also perfect, located at the end of the main street and within 5 5-minute walk from most restaurants. It is a 15-minute walk from the marina, but it feels closer because you get to walk through the main streets and enjoy the atmosphere. Additionally, we also get free breakfast, which can be picked up down the block and includes a coffee and a pastry. It definitely adds up since coffee costs 4 euros at the nearest cafe! The staff was also extremely helpful - they helped me make reservations, were super responsive, and made sure our stay was comfortable. There's also a well-equipped kitchen, which helped a lot when we needed to cook for our 2-year-old (there's a supermarket right downstairs, too!). Overall, 10/10! The picture doesn't do it justice.

CanadaOur stay in Sorrento was absolutely wonderful — especially our time at Ca Dó! Our host was incredibly responsive and offered excellent recommendations for local restaurants and tips on how to get around, which made everything so easy. Antonella, who managed the B&B and handled the cleanings, was exceptionally kind and always ready with helpful advice. Her warm presence truly added to the experience. The location was perfect — just a short walk to the town center with its charming shops and restaurants, about 15 minutes to the beach, and a 15-minute walk to the train station. It was truly the highlight of our trip to Italy. We would absolutely return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sorrento!

CanadaThere was not a garbage container in the room. A very small one in the bathroom, but we have appreciated a trash container in the room itself
We really liked the large size balcony fitted with the table and two chairs that was attached to the room

IsraelUnfortunately the walls are not sound proof, and I could hear everything from the room next to me, even a sneeze or when they plug their charger.
The location of the room was amazing, the staff was very friendly and welcoming, and the view from the windows is beautiful.

United StatesThere really wasn't anything that we found to be a problem. A few little things that were immediately attended to, to be expected in a new space. They have a number of different spaces and they lump all the pictures together on Booking, but when we asked which was ours, he immediatly sent pics accurately describing our space. Some hosts have developed large files of recommended restaurants, etc, which might have been nice, but not really an issue.
Clean newly renovated, subdivided private space. We had the blue room in the pictures, and the pics were accurate. Similar to a hotel room setup. Host was extremely responsive to a few minor issues that came up...all taken care of within the day. There is a small shared space available to all three rooms that had some dishes, appliances, etc. Used it a few times, but never saw or ran into the other people staying there. Overall, a decent place to stay, clean and new, with a responsive host, within very easy 5 min walking distance to town center, and about 10 min walk from train and bus stations.

QatarI had an exceptional stay at this property in Sorrento. From the very beginning, the host was incredibly welcoming, providing us with all the necessary information to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience. To our pleasant surprise, we were upgraded to a larger room at no extra charge, which added an extra touch of comfort to our stay. The location is perfect—just a few minutes’ walk to the city center, making it convenient to explore all that Sorrento has to offer. Parking was also a breeze, with a spot available right in front of the property. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area

IsraelWould like to know who were the helpful, nice staff described in reviews i had read before booking this place! On arrival we were met off the taxi by an unfriendly guy who couldn't speak a word of English & was very unhelpful. The shabby building is set off the main road on a dingy road with a steep incline & the taxi wasn't allowed access (not suitable for a 79 yr old with bad knees). This scenario wasn't mentioned in the property description. The room is on the 5th floor accessed by a rickety old lift with room for 3 people. I booked this room (& it was confirmed as such) as it was described as having "a double bed + 2 single beds" however there was only 1 single bed under the stairs (which led who knows where). Yes the room was a decent size, clean & with a balcony but had an awful smell of old drains & as we ran away from there - couldn't even spend 1 night there (had booked 4) there was an awful smell of gas surrounding the building & street!! Booking.com have been most unhelpful & I lost the total payment - the guy even used google translation to insist we pay the city taxes b4 he left the room!! Thankfully we found the wonderful Hotel Tirrenia not too far away!

United StatesIt popped up when we did a search for 2 bedrooms places, it is really not a two bedroom apartment but a 1 queen bedroom with a kitchen/living room with a small couch bed and trundle bed. Good for a young family but not good for 4 adults.
The location was great, an easy walk to everything. It was very clean and well stocked with towels and kitchen needs. And it had a lovely Terrace with a table and chairs.

AustraliaTiny room like a backpacker HOSTELS DEFINITELY NOT 27m2. Bed hard. One room key for 2 people. I was declined an extra key when requested. Only enough toiletries for one day even though we paid for 2 people for 3 nights. One very small, thin soap for 2 people for 3 nights! Only 3 coffee pods were issued for 2 people for 3 days! No tea bags. Only one towel and bath mat for 3 days. Rooms are not serviced. Pictures indicate a balcony. There was no balcony. It states "your unit has a coffee machine, microwave, and kitchenette." It states, "You can cook in the comfort of your own space" There was none of this in our room. There was a common area to share with other units as in a backpacker set up.
Location was ok. Close to main street and other facilities.

United KingdomRoom was cramped, with a double and a single bed taking up most of the space. It is on the 5 th floor of a residential apartment block, although there is a lift. Location is 50 meters up a very steep hill so it’s not suitable for elderly guests.. Small shared space for cooking with a coffee maker. Breakfast, consists of coffee and a croissant, is by way of a voucher to use at a local cafe. Described as offering a bar and pool view, is very misleading as we didn’t find any of these at the premises
Room and bathroom were exceptionally clean. Within walking distance of central Sorrento

United KingdomAlthough it is more of an apartment rental as opposed to a hotel there was someone to meet me and share information about the property. I was given coupons for breakfast at a local cafe which was close by and had welcoming staff. Accommodation was in a great location and was clean and well maintained.
