Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

New ZealandI really like the option to boil water. We didn't use the kitchen as I didn't find an invite to do this and it had the owners belongings. Also found clothing in the draws in our room.
I love the location being so close to the railway station. It's straight behind the railway station. Owner made real effort to make sure we could enter the building on arrival

SingaporeThe room is just next to street and will get noise if you open the window for ventilation. Will be great if host offer chair & table in room instead of the other furniture. Also lots of switches in room which have no indication. Only get to know the toilet ventilation will goes off by itself after sometime the light switch is off. Bathroom mat is necessary as the bathroom floor gets wet after shower.
Pick this homestay with private toilet & bathroom because it is just opposite the bus stop that the airport bus 940 is running at 4am for our 6am flight. It is very ideal for 1nt stay before the early morning flight. The host is very friendly & kind and offer help with simple English.

Germanywe were not aware that the room is (literally) inside the apartment where the host lives. therefore, although the host is a ‘cool’ guy, we did not feel comfortable during the stay. also, the apartment (outside the room where guests stay) was very messy and the host’s cat was let free (it did not bother us at all, but if you are allergic…). furthermore, the garden was basically unaccessible since it was left completely abandoned.
the room is clean and big enough for a two nights stay. location is great since it s very close to the train station.

PortugalThere are many defects that make the stay very unconfortable. There is no wardrobe in the room. There is no floor towel. The water rushes out of the tap and splits everywhere. The toilet lid is loose. There is no holder for toilet paper. The only place that I can hang the towels is the radiator and it's out of reach from the door of the shower compartment. The door of the compartment leaks water. There is no place to put shampoo or soap in the compartment. The ventilator can only shut down some minutes after turning off the light and makes a lot of noise. In the morning, a man comes into the apartment and talks on the phone and coughs. It makes us feel uneasy.
