We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful B&B in the hills of Florence. The location was perfect - away from the Florentine heat; very quiet, and ideal for sleeping in and truly relaxing! Christina and Maurizio are the most delightful hosts! Incredibly attentive, kind, and welcoming. They even shared fresh fruit from their own garden with us! The house itself has an authentic Tuscan charm that made us feel right at home. The directions provided were spot-on. We had no trouble finding the place at all, which made arriving stress-free and easy. We honestly couldn't have chosen a better place for our vacation. There was not a single thing we would not have enjoyed! Highly recommended - we will definitely be back!

Maurizio and Christine are really friendly and helped us getting settled, showing us the apartment, and where everything is. They also gave us beautiful tomatoes and fruit from their own garden. The space you get is wonderful, and the views from the deck is spectacular.

Relax atmosphere and beautiful view

After the hustle and bustle of Florence, it was such a relief to return to the peaceful, forested, and cooler setting of this accommodation. The view from the room overlooking the valley was also stunning. But what we appreciated the most were our lovely hosts, Maurizio and Christina – they were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. Thank you again for all your efforts!

The house location in the beautiful plains of Tuscany, what is not to like. Maurizio, waiting for us to check in at almost 2am because of flight delays (Not many host would do this).The tranquility of the property was absolute bliss.

The entire building and surrounding area is magnificent: old toscanian house, but renovated, cosy atmosphere yet modern equipment. Comfortable beds; room with several windows for a splendit view of the landscape. Very comforting and friendly hosts, very good breakfast.

The only thing which could be improved is the unpaved road nearby the accomodation. The rain has washed away some sand and it is a bit uneven/stony.

We loved everything about our stay in Casignano. Maurizio and Tina were incredible hosts. They picked us up and dropped us up where we needed at no additional cost. They provided an amazing breakfast and were incredible people who made you feel at home and like family. The view and location was 10/10. So quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Could not have had a better stay.

Our stay at the Villa Casignano was Awesome ! Deeply nestled away in the Tuscany foothills just outside of Florence is this beautiful property. Tina and Maurizio were Amazing hosts. They went above and beyond in making sure are all our needs were met. Our daughters even got to experience the joy of feeding their horses and donkeys. Watching the sun rise and hearing the birds chirp was priceless. To top things off, they referred us to a Wonderful restaurant, Nuovo Ranch. Absolutely Superb ! Thank You for an Awesome stay. Beautiful views! We stayed in the apartment which was spacious and cozy! The hosts were very friendly and most accommodating with anything we needed. They also recommend a couple of tips and places to eat in town with a delicious place right down the road.

A little further than expected from Florence, but it was still a wonderful stay.

Beautiful vistas, especially if you wake to hear the dawn chorus and see the sunrise. Olive orchards all around, smell of jasmine on the wind, and the donkeys and horses made it very special. A perfect retreat to relax and connect with the beautiful land. Took my father and he adored it and is still talking about it, including how the kindness and generosity of our hosts. Convenient to explore the area without being stuck in the noise & hustle of the city. We took a day to explore Florence and it was perfect to do that and then return to try a local restaurant.

Road is a bumpy and narrow getting there so it’s good to have a car that can handle it. We had a jeep and it was fine. Google maps tried to get us to go left after we left the property one day to go to dinner and it led to a very tough & rocky road that became impossible to drive where we almost got stuck in the mud trying to turn around to come back, so don’t listen to the navigation system if it sends you that way.

Just wow. We stayed for five nights at this stunning property. Our plan was to visit Florence and other surrounding areas but did not want to be in the middle of the city. Casignano checked all the right boxes. Christina and Maurizio were terrific hosts, very friendly and attentive. They supplied not only us but all visitors with open arms making everyone feel welcomed. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable, separated from the main house. Serene is the best adjective to describe the property. There is a good distance between the property and the highway- perfect silence can be experienced nearly all hours. No airplanes, no trains, very few cars. One may hear the resident horse neighing or donkey singing occasionally. The view- spectacular. The property has a nice patio area that overlooks a beautiful valley, even on a cloudy day the view is gorgeous. There was no aspect of our stay we did not enjoy, the hosts and property provided a perfect opportunity to forget the daily grind and take some time to genuinely relax. This is by no means a complaint because to experience this level of peace there has to be a caveat which I’ll share- as a lover of all things vehicular I would suggest to not drive the small lane ways with a lowered vehicle. My wife and I would recommend this departure from the day to day to anyone desiring to experience the wonders of Florence and still be able to unwind at a beautiful destination surrounded by great eateries. Another note- Christina’s home made jams are terrific. Sorry I did not take photos of the residence from the inside as I was more drawn to the sights outside the walls.
