We barely slept because of noise from bars below & yelling/screaming from a family of guests next door. Would recommend bringing ear plugs because of thin walls.

Amazing property with a rich and amusing history. Susanna is a fantastic host and fascinates you with her knowledge and tips on Genoa. The room is unbelievably big, comfortable, and simply stunning, with these mind blowing affreschi from the ‘400. Totally in love and highly recommend!

The doors to enter the building and apartment ( at one point my husband needed help to open the outside door) the fact that it is a huge apartment that it is split in half ( not good isolated) and I could hear our neighbours and they could hear us ( at one point I thought she entered our apartment that loud and clear I could hear her walking from the other one). The stairs to the bedroom/bathroom are wobbly and you could easly fell down, no fridge ( in summer will be useful). Very very loudly on weekends night, as it is a tradition in Italy to go out and this apartment is central you will not have silence until at least 3 in the morning. The table in our apartment was so wobbly we could not eat on as we were afraid not to break it. If you stay more than a week you don't have a wardrobe were to put your closed.

The place in the city were the location was, the way the apartment looked, the host that was super helpful and friendly, the fact that it was super clean and the art.m and that exactly at the entrance of the building there was a nice, friendly little place to have a coffee. The shower- I am an average to slim body size and had to squeeze myself into the shower recess, could not close the door which resulted in lots of water on the floor. Not the hosts fault, a bad design element in an otherwise lovely room. No coffee facilities in the room.

The room was superb- waking up to the fresco on the roof after a great sleep in the comfy bed was dreamy! Room was clean and well kept. Great to have a mini-fridge and fabulous bar at the bottom of the building. Excellent location. The host(s) were a bonus- Susanna (and her partner) are lovely people with whom I had some great chats and laughs. Susanna also provided lots of useful info about the local area, things to see and do. (Grazie mille Susi xo)

No extra pillows or blankets and no water glasses. Only 2 small bottles of body wash for the shower for 2 adults for 2 days. Parking was advertised as included and instead we had to use a parking station at €24 per day.

There’s no lift/elevator and it’s not mentioned anywhere. There were no plugs near the bed so charging the phones was a problem. The shades were white and the morning light would wake us up very early (there were no blinds). The bathroom was small and we had only 2 towels. Supposedly all rooms should have a coffee machine, we didn’t.

The location is great. It’s pretty central, in a nice area, walking distance from a lot of places and the metro station is vertical close.

Whilst we are aware this is a very old property (we picked it because of the beautiful fresco on the ceiling ) the steps up to the mezzanine sleeping level were new ...ish , the bottom three were very loose and unstable and after two nights we were glad to be leaving as they were a potential dangerous hazard of causing a fall.

Susanna ( host ) Arranged to meet us outside the property and we ended up being an hour late because of cancelled trains ) and she was still polite and welcoming , such a lovely caring host we could not fault her at all , perfect !

Outside noise was a little irritating before midnight, but the bars were very nice.

Breakfast not included. Very central to Genoa but, as we stayed on a Saturday night, the outside bars remained noisy for a time. If you are OK with this then this was not a problem.

The stairs in the loft are very narrow and creeky, but not a huge issue.

The accommodations were so beautiful and wonderfully situated. The host was great with directions, greeted us, and gave us all information needed for our stay. Very helpful and communicative.

The stairs was tough with luggage, but the owners helped us which was very nice. But hey, it's an old historical city. Stairs come with the Territory!

Very good location. Great bars, restaurants and things to see down every alley. The apartment was very modern and comfortable for such an old historical building. Can get close access to unload luggage too, although long term parking is about 10 minutes away.

Great location, fantastic looking interior and kind and very hospitable hosts. Communication was also really good, fast and attentive. I was really surprised with how well everything was arranged seeing as it was not expensive. Extra thumbs up for the excellent anthentic interior; this was easily one of the nicest looking stays I've had in Italy.

Susanna is helpful and kind, and when we got there, she gave us a brief introduction of the history of the palace, which we really appreciated. The room is exactly as depicted in the pictures. It is perfect for short stays and the bed is comfortable. The palace is strategically located as it allows you to walk everywhere in the city centre and enjoy all the main buildings and attractions that Genova offers. I would definitely recommend staying here!
