How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

This place it is not a hotel and I thought it was . I was expecting a hotel, a place where we could get up and have a breakfast or leave our luggages while walking around the city. The internet didnot work at all. Does not have a coffee machine.
The location was great. The place was nice and modern.

I really loved the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The room was clean, modern, and very comfortable. But what made the experience truly special was Federica — it’s the first time I’ve ever been welcomed with such kindness, professionalism, and genuine care. She made us feel at home from the very first moment.

This facility lies in front of Lake Como! in the heart of everything you wish to see, visit or experience! It is a great place for a family that wishes to visit lake Como. nearby restaurants, shopping areas, tourist attraction, public and private ferries and speedboats, and above all: the lake is some meters away from the suites door! Federica is wonderful person: she spared no efforts to make our stay amazing and memorable! She is very professional, approachable, always with positive attitude and polite!

It is in the ground floor. I thought it is in the upper floor but it is in the ground floor so we don’t enjoy the view of the lake .

Coffee/tea supplies were not replenished daily, but were supplied when items were requested.
Lovely enormous room, very quiet location, but handy to the lake, ferry and plenty of great food options.

A lot of facilities are missing. No soup in the shower, we used only shampoo, No shampoo holder in the bathroom, it was annoying to band over every time that you needed to reach the shampoo, no refrigerator in the room, and other stuff that was missing.. The checkout time is 10 AM, which is the earliest I have seen, and nobody told us that. It was written in little letters on the flyer that nobody reads.
1. The location was perfect, I really liked the room being near the lake and the train station. 2. The room is kinda new, so everything feels modern. 3. Big TV in front of the bed.

The place is perfectly located, you can visit all the center by walking and respect the photos. Federika from Como Lakeside suites was adorable with us, she helps us a lot to fine places to eat and still available to discusss with us whenever we needs it. Thank youuuu

Top quality, spacious room and bathroom which was very comfortable. Excellent contact with host. Good amenities in room. Felt luxurious and peaceful. Location is great, just steps from the promenade. We didn’t have an interesting view from the window but there was a tiny balcony.

Missing some basic facilities such as fridge makes it difficult specially in hot summer climate. Adding small thing like an iron, a toaster and a microwave can make the experience more pleasant. Internet quality is low but somehow usable for normal us, but using it for work, I experienced with several disconnections and a max 10Mbps speed download (and 3Mbps upload !) which is lower than norm.
Good location, only a few steps to restaurants and bay. Airco is a great help. Clean and new. Kind and helpful agents.

The room is located in an office building and as such felt sterile. Spacious room enough to allow for piece of furniture to sit. No place to sit other than the bed. Another suggestion ..something in the shower to hold soap and shampoo.
Very clean and great location. Hosts were great and very informative. Always responded.

The provided amenities are too basic and extremely cheap, lacking any sense of comfort. The bed and pillows are low-quality and uncomfortable. Crucially, the price for renting this room is not low!

Don't let the name fool you. This is basically a bedroom in an office building. Not quite what we were expecting...
Very clean room and good size bathroom. Property manager was very nice when we met her outside the building.
