Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

New ZealandA beautifully presented and welcoming bnb in the heart of the old town district of this seaside town. Vito was a great communicator. He volunteered a map and good information about exploring the area and where to eat to suit any budget. The room was a pleasure to arrive at. We were fortunate to have a sitting area and an outside roof terrace to enjoy. An excellent breakfast to start the day was included. Mazara del Vallo is home to Kasbah, the local Arabic district. It's very interesting to walk its laneways all decorated with mosaics. While under 10 minutes easy walk to the train station, the regional bus stop is on the outskirts, a very long walk away. Suggest checking transport links if coming by bus.

New ZealandDriving to and from the apartment.
A large spacious apartment that was very clean and comfortable. The hosts were very helpful and kind. Tomaso even parked our car outside on the tiny little street for us. Vito posted my postcard for me. The breakfasts were tasty and ample.

United StatesWe loved it.
Vito, who ran the place, was great from the time we booked until we checked out. He communicated promptly and looked out for us the whole time. The location was perfect, walking distance to lots of places and the ambience was amazing. The best part though was the delicious breakfast spread. Sp good!!

ItalyParking closing to the B&B is not easy, but doable, and the owner was there to guide us all the way to the parking through the historical center of the town
The property is very well maintained, with great attention to detail. What stood out the most, though, was the staff — incredibly kind, helpful, and always available to assist us with anything we needed. Highly recommended!

AustraliaI loved our large room which was very clean and comfortable. The staff, especially Vito, were very friendly and exceptionally helpful. The breakfast was excellent- so much fresh, homemade food to choose from. Everything about the accommodation was perfect. The location was great - within walking distance to the beachfront and the Kasbah. A very interesting town.

United KingdomParking is in nearby streets, don’t let the approach to the b&b put you off, as you walk through streets with lots of construction work
A lot of thought has gone into this b&b, access to hot drinks throughout the day, water in the fridge, a lovely authentic feel about the place and a fabulous breakfast

AustraliaWe had trouble with GPS and our car wouldn’t fit down some of the streets. Vito was amazing at showing us where to go to look at places of interest walking.
Vito was exceptional, he could not have been more helpful. The breakfast was excellent. The photo is only of one side. The other side had little tasty sandwiches and fruit etc

United StatesThe only aspect of finding the property was kindly overcome because the host made arrangements to guide us through the labyrinth of one way streets. It was a spectacular introduction to Mazara.
The bed and breakfast exceeded our expectations in every way. The host was phenomenal in helping us to navigate narrow streets to find San Agustin. Truly a hidden gem in a wonderful neighborhood. We loved the many creative elements of the facility… the artistic touches of design with tile in the house and garden. Breakfast was beyond exceptional and every detail was carefully considered for the comfort and hospitable welcome for guests.

The whole hotel looks like new and very beautiful. It is like you see it on the pictures. Room was also perfect. Bed and pillows was very good quality. Breakfast was very good and a lot of choices to eat. The host was very nice and very helpful. I would definitely recommend the stay!

New ZealandOnly small disadvantage was the narrow staircase and 2 flights to navigate. Again Vito insisted on bringing up our large and heavy luggage. Beyond the call of duty!
Very central, very clean, lovely breakfast area with coffee, Marsala wine and nibbles available there, very good breakfast and outstanding staff. Would highly recommend the “Blue room with private sitting area and outdoor deck space. Immaculate and very central position. Parking a little distance away but Vito helped us there

Really convenient from the train station just 5 minutes walk. Wonderful welcoming host. We had a large room with separate kitchen area. Free drinks available in an area near reception. The breakfast was superb. All sorts of delicious Sicilian treats and fresh coffees to order. Mazara del Vallo is such an interesting town to explore. Probably saw the main attractions within the 24 hours
