In terms of check in, all that was needed to get in was a code to unlock the front door and another code to unlock the key box to get the key to unlock the apartment. Unfortunately the host did not send them beforehand so we had to wait around and connect to Internet to contact the host for this information. We then had to wait another 30+ minutes for the host to come just to take payment, this could have been done on the card used with booking.com, thus wasting our time. Furthermore, the bathroom smelt of sewage due to poor and old plumbing, the shower was either very cold or very hot, you couldn't have both, so I could not wash my hair. The host was contacted twice, but only turned up the first time they were contacted about this problem and did not show again after contacting them again for the 2nd time about the problem remaining. The building itself is old and so there were crumbs on the sofa from debris from the ceiling. The host also told us not to lock our apartment door which was odd and unsafe. The AC was very weak and doesn't reach the upper floor where the bed is and it is also loud in the mornings on the street outside which wakes you up. There were also stairs to go up which was hard with luggage. Only small bins in the flat.

The location was great, only 10 minutes walk from the main square with the cathedral and good bus and tram links nearby if you're coming from the central station. Towels were provided and some soap and toilet roll.

We were not informed while booking that one of the two rooms had bedroom upstairs (not comfortable at all). In addition, there was a very bad smell in the other room all day long and there weren't any shampoo or shower gel in it (we finally had them one day after our request).

One of the two rooms was very comfortable and some special requests were fulfilled (iron).

Everything was great other than the shower is mouldy and needs a good bleach and scrub. The mould made the bathroom smell as well.

The bed was comfortable, the location was great, about 10-15 minutes from the train and same to the main sights. The room was spacious, didn’t realise it was such a big room!! The staff were polite, quick with communication and allowed us to store our bags prior to check in. Had air conditioning as well!!

Street was very noisy at times so take ear plugs (locals seem to collect refuse during most night & empty bottle banks!) Pillows could have been better (bit too soft / lumpy but people like different things).

Dishwasing soap was leftover mixed with water, pillow was too soft, so many mosquitoes (need mosquito net for windows). No exhaust for kitchen, no washing machine. Floors was not mopped properly. Bedsheet has bloodstain (use bleach when u wash them. U need to install soap dispenser for shower. Smell of sewer outisde unit on stairway area. Maybe because it is tourist area so it was kind of noisy at night. Noise especially came from trash bin area. Walls rather thin so you can hear neighbors. Sponge to wash dishes were used and dirty with black spots n hair on it.

Location was excellent because you can walk to Duomo, lots of food places and shopping. Also love the heaters, so many. Hot water n bidet was great. Space of room was excellent. Wifi strong.

The apartment sits inside a building with no window out onto the street , so you feel like you’re a bit removed from the activity of the city and quite cave like. This is a personal preference - we enjoy being able to look out and see the movements of the city when traveling.

Room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. Provided everything that we needed for the stay in Florence.

The room didn’t look like the picture attached to our booking at all. It was much smaller, no couch only a bed, small table that’s pretty much also next the kitchenette bench, it didn’t have windows other than a small balcony that’s facing a between-building space that smelt like sewage. It seems that they had used the same photos of their best room for all other rooms so it was untrue and confusing. The room had strange smell and the checkin required messaging the host to confirm arrival time beforehand AND also on WhatsApp 20-30mins prior, however we didn’t have phone reception till we arrived on time after the initial contact so there was some confusion and we had to wait for a bit. Although the staff member who welcomed us was rather friendly and was responsive.

Water pressure is a little lackluster, not a big deal certainly enough. We didn’t have any problems with these things but be aware: no elevator but apartments are on 1st floor up one medium set of narrow stairs. You share a private entrance and corridor with 3 other apartments. We had no issues with noise.

Spacious room with small kitchenette - tap, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster etc. Comfortable bed and bedding. Large bathroom. Good amounts of storage. Communicative hosts. Excellent location on a quieter street with lots of great food options nearby as well as a supermarket and laundrette and very walkable to all attractions.

I did not like communication upon prior our arrival. We were asked when we would arrive. I replied that at about 8pm. I was warned that check-in is by 7pm (true). So I asked what would happen if we did not make it. I got no reply. So we hurried (we were driving), skipped lunch, skipped shopping on the way to try to make it by 7. We did not (traffic jams). At 6.45 we received instructions how to open the apartment ourselves. Come on! We could have been driving stress free. Everything else was fine afterwards. Only the balcony was a bit smelly (4 AC units and back part of houses) so we did use it at all, however the AC worked perfectly.

The location is fantastic. You can walk to the cathedral in less than 10 mins. The street is quiet but as you walk towards the centre, it gets busier. The room was comfy with basic cooking utilities which we did not use (in Italy we did not want to cook ourselves). The bathroom was superb. Finally we even managed to learn how to open the front door easily.

Could hear street traffic and bin trucks every morning. Windows need double glazing. Matress and line was ok but could be elevated. The room is so beautiful it needs that extra comfort

We stayed there for 4 nights and there was just one toiles paper roll and no toothbrush , we had to buy ourselves and it property was located in a really busy street and and I couldn’t sleep very well because of the noises in the middle of the night. It was very noisy

I honestly had higher expectations about a couple of aspects: 1) possibility of depositing the luggage upon arrival (even before check-in) and the possibility to leave the luggage after check-out. This would have allowed me to save some money, and would probably make things easier for the customers. I understand that probably there is no space for such a service in the building, but creating a partnership with a luggage store in the area would be a nice plus. 2) I was quite surprised by the lack of the shower door. and also the grid on the shower floor was not properly placed. Not big issues, but something I noticed

The location is really good, it's just a 10 minutes walk from/to the train station, and a 15min walk to Piazza della Signoria. Perfect for a walking-weekend in Firenze ! The staff is polite and the size of the room is good. I also fully appreciated the possibility of using A/C for heating up the room.

It wasn’t really a hotel which wasn’t clear when booking, the room was quite basic.

It was clean and plenty of towels provided. Good location, walking distance from the main attractions, friendly staff, they let us check in a few hours early so we could leave our luggage
