How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Squeaky clean room with a lovely terrace outside to enjoy a meal. Loved how easy the whole self-check-in process was. On top of that, the communication with the host was a 10/10. Everything was amazing, there's even a little kitchen where you can prepare coffee/tea. It's very close to the beach and there are lots of cute restaurants nearby!

I had a wonderful stay! The host was very helpful and provided us with the most useful information about Monopoli and the surrounding area. Check-in was smooth and easy. The room was new, clean, and comfortable. I highly recommend this place for a pleasant stay!

Every day at 8:00 in the morning you get woken up by the sound of the nearby church’s bell.

Convenient location walking to Old Town. Street parking outside. Host met us and was very accommodating. Modern and clean room. Private outdoor courtyard was a nice plus.

Very nice communication with Mina Nice and very detail-oriented interior! Comfy beds and everything very clean. Coffee and some biscuits were there as well! I can’t think of anything that was missing, perfect!

It was perfect for a couple days stay, we were free for entering and leaving the house with the door code system. Location is best, old town is about a few minutes walk distance, but not in the main loud-tourist area. Communication was very quick and informative, we would choose again!

We like walking but if you didn’t it might be a bit inconvenient
Room was very clean ant the owners attention to detail was superb The room was cleaned during our stay and we got fresh towels It was easy to get free parking convenient to the property

I liked it all. My only comment would be that for a solo female traveller. The walk back to the room at night may be of concern.
The location was great, close to the old town and situated on a quiet street. I was met by the host who was very welcoming. Good kitchen facilities with complimentary coffee. Bottled water in the fridge,. The bed was very comfortable and shower and toilet sparkling clean. There was also a small courtyard with a table and chairs.

Communication is terrible, the owner is not involved, I never met the owner. The shower is separate from the bathroom and has a flashing red and blue light. The bathroom has a step up, which I stumbled over several times. There is not a single chair in the room. The coffee maker is cheap, and leaks coffee all over the counter. The bed squeaks, it is worn out. Other than these minor problems, the room is ok.
I paid the lodging one month in advance, then received an email the morning of my arrival telling me I MUST send passport information, using an app I do not use, or I will not be sent the room entry code. This is not acceptable.
