Our host Paola was delightful from the moment we arrived. The room was beautifully designed and the details were exceptional. The happy hour cocktail and the morning croissant were more than expected. The small town of Tirano was so charming that we wish we had more time to enjoy it.

Love the accommodation and the service. We had a welcome drink and snacks. Eventhough breakfast was not included when booking, we were given breakfast. It was a short but lovely stay.

Having to leave.

This is an exceptional boutique Hotel and lovingly run by Paola and her husband Christiano, who put a lot of time and care into looking after guests. The room and facilities were modern and classy and very good taste has gone into the refurbishment of the original family home down to the smallest of detail. It was also great value and any guest would be lucky to obtain a reservation at these premises. Highly recommended. Will be back.

We thought everything was great. No complaints.

Dimora1934 was so much more than we ever expected! The location was great for our purpose which was riding the train to St. Moritz. However, what made the stay so wonderful was our host, Paola. She was so warm and inviting and personally looked after our every need. As she said, it wasn’t a hotel or a B&B, but her home, and she welcomed us in like family. And as if this wasn’t enough, the modern rooms and facilities are comparable to any luxury boutique hotel in Europe. I can’t explain how much we enjoyed our stay at Dimora1934. For anyone traveling in northern Italy, I would highly recommend visiting Dimora1934. I know when I return, I will be booking a longer stay there.

The whole place was superb! If you are thinking about staying in Tirano, think no more - just stay here! Paula is a wonderful hostess. We were made to feel so welcome and the room design was beautiful. Everything was excellent quality. Paula and her husband run a friendly bar/cafe next to the rooms where we had drinks in the evening and a light breakfast the next day. We loved our stay- 10/10!

Absolutely everything from the spotlessly clean and elegant hotel itself to the incomparable hospitality of our host Paola and her husband. We would say we are quite discerning guests but we can honestly say that nothing was left to chance. Every possible attention was paid to the detail and Paola simply could not have been a better or more welcoming host. I would make a detour in my itinerary just to ensure a stay at this beautiful hotel again. Do not hesitate. Find out for yourselves!!!

Must stay in Tirano! The hosts Paola and Cristiano provide the highest wuality of stay and service! I have never been in such kind of stay. The simple breakfast (fresh orange juice, pastries and delicious espresso) and pre-dinner drinks, that were included in the night rate, was a nice surprise.

Paola and her husband were wonderful hosts. Warm and friendly, we were made to feel immediately at home in Tirano. Nothing was too much trouble and their advice on our incorrect Tirano Express tickets was invaluable in ensuring we experienced the train ride of a lifetime. We received complimentary evening drinks, a wonderful breakfast and Paola even gifted us a small selection of local delicacies. The room layout has been well thought out and it was by far the cleanest accomodation we have experienced during our week in Italy. The view of the Swiss Alps from our balcony room was incredible and the restaurant recommendation ('Liberty Ristorante & Pizzeria') in Tirano was exceptional. We wish we had stayed 3 nights here rather only one. Thoroughly recommend this accomodation and if you are travelling on the Bernina railway, give yourself 2 nights in Tirano as there is much to explore here.
