No proper bedroom, shared shower.

Domus Felix is a beautiful and welcoming place. A lovely, spotless clean house surrounded by a nice garden in a fine neighborhood, a short walk from town center. The proprietor was extremely nice and helpful, always ready for a chat and giving me useful tips. Thank you Reymondo (I hope I got the name right), for telling me to go to Ravello and recommending sfogliatella in Naples. I enjoyed both immensely. If I had gotten one of the other rooms in the house, my stay in Domus Felix would have been 10 out of 10. However, I was not placed in a proper bedroom, but in a dining room with a bed in it. Don’t get me wrong, it was a gorgeous room full of valuable antique furniture, with a patio right outside, but it was nevertheless a dining room with a bed. Another thing, I paid for a private bathroom and got a private toilet with a sink and a shared shower. I guess it is a downside of booking a room with a single bed. Once I decided to disregard those two problems, I had a very nice time in Domus Felix and would wholeheartedly recommend it to travelers. Thank you Reymondo (and Igor, of course) for a wonderful week in Sorrento.

It was a 15 min walk to the centre of town. It could really do with some air conditioning as the fan was inadequate in the 30°+ heat.

Private bathroom is only private as in it is separate and can be locked…the bathroom is shared by many guests…thus a shared bathroom Doors only lock on the inside so anyone in theory can access your room when you’re not there No mirror in room (not a purpose bedroom - was still comfortable)

Raymondo was friendly, helpful & kind. His home was spacious, clean, had aircon, in a quiet area, lovely near walk to the centre…lots of bars/restaurants on the way…bus/train station near, very homely

We paid for a king size room but the bed was only a double, plus there were no pillows only hard cushions. When we asked for pillows he said he didn’t have anything else. The room was unlocked when we were out as it only barely locked from the inside. Shared bathroom not very comfortable . Sheets that didn’t fit . No hospitality whatsoever, didn’t want to lend us beach towels. All in all an uncomfortable stay

Everything was amazing. By the photos and category of room by booking, it was economy room. But instead I've got amazing room with garden next to it. Also there is a terrace but I didn't have much time to spend there although the owner and his dog are very friendly. Raymondo helps a lot with all my questions. He allows me to leave my bag for a whole day. It was very warm and welcoming place to stay. Grazie:)

I had a great time here. The property is a short walk to the centre of Sorrento. It is also a great base to visit the Amalfi coast and the archaeological site of Pompeii. The host was very friendly and gave some great tips on where to go. You are staying in his home, so as long as you respect his rules you will get along fine. The property is much cheaper than anywhere else I looked at in Sorrento, and I'm glad I chose to stay here. Of course I also enjoyed meeting Igor, the very friendly border collie that lives at the property with the owner.

Couldn’t recommend this more and half the price of other properties. Good value for money.

The property was a beautiful house - my room antique and beautiful. The bed was so comfy and the little fan was useful and appreciated. Thank you to the host for going above and beyond making sure I was well looked after and even lending me some sandals after a shoe disaster, in which I had to go and get new ones. Nothing was too much for him. Comfortable and clean. Stylish and very central. Only 10 minutes into the old town.

Absolutely disgusted which it’s not a proper bedroom I was put in. The house has an elegant chandelier because I was put in a sitting room and slept in a sofa bed with No aircondition. Toilet was dirty and no tissue available and it’s in a little cave that you have to walk a meter and bend your neck to go in. Shower, you have to walk upstairs for shower. I felt so discriminated and I think I was scammed by this people. I contacted booking.com about this they didn’t even made anything to make it better. Very disappointing

When I got to the property the man was in the kitchen with his shirt off. He waved me in so I opened the shutter to let myself in and his dog followed me inside. He shouted no no no to the dog coming in and so I ushered the dog out (I did not touch the dog) The dog then jumped at me and bit my wrist/arm. I checked it with a torch and it was nit cut but there was a mark and it hurt. The owner said do not worry he does this to me all the time. He then showed me the room and I placed my bags on the bed and he told me off for disrespecting the bed. He asked me what I was doing the next day and told me where the shared bathroom was. He did not give me a key to the room (it had a lock inside). I rang my friend who is a nurse and said I did not feel safe and then I nervously took my bags and told him I was going to meet friends and left. As I got out of the property I told a couple what had happened and cried. They asked ne what I was going to do and I said I will go to the airport. My flight back was not for another 2 weeks and I might lose the money to that too. I have made a complaint and asked for a full refund through booking.com. They suggested leaving this review aswell as them sorting it for me. I am worried for future guests as the dog was there when I had left my bags at check in (the owner was not there at check in time so I rang and he gave me the code) The dog was wondering around.
