Reviews of Don Carlo Tropea

Don Carlo Tropea is a wonderful BnB. We stayed for (sadly) only one night while travelling from Sicily to Minori. Our room was beautiful, clean, modern, spacious and charming. The bathroom was also very clean and modern. Carlo, the proprietor, checked us in and was very welcoming. Upon checkout, we met Carlo's father, who was also lovely. We were able to park our car onsite. We were given a voucher for a light breakfast at a nearby bar. Tropea is quite possibly the prettiest town in which we have ever stayed. It is both charming and elegant with so many shops and restaurants within walking distance from the BnB. The beach is an easy walk as well. Grazie mille for hosting us.

Beautiful room in a great location, with an amazing breakfast served on the rooftop terrace - and truly exceptional service. Can't recommend highly enough.

Fabulous place right in the heart of Tropea. Gorgeous modern rooms whereby, the owner takes immaculate pride in how they look. Great breakfasts included and it was extremely very handy that they have a laundry service, your clothes come back smelling exceptional. What makes the place is the owners and how they welcome and look after their guests. I definitely would come back.

Everything! If i could rate it 100 i would. Karina is the best host we’ve had. She was so kind and welcoming, the room was amazing and clean. And there was even a bag to the beach with everything we needed. We were so sad to leave. The breakfast was made by Karina and it was delicious!!

Nothing. Everything was perfect

The host was very accommodating and gave great suggestions for dining, tours and beaches. She tended to our every need. We felt like part of her family.

A lot of stairs to get to the rooms.

Karina is the most wonderful hostess we have ever had a chance to meet, we would highly recommend staying here. Her breakfasts are a true work of delicious art. Wonderful stay.

Everything, specially the host Friendly, helps is 24 hrs , kind and caring to make sure you are comfortable One of the best B&B experiences I would very highly recommend this place located in the centre city, accessible buy walking Clean , daily room service including cleaning Breakfast at terrace was delicious prepared by the host She even helped to book the sightseeing

Karina the hostess was fantastic and went above and beyond. Great choice and quality breakfast . Room was very comfortable and spacious and was cleaned every day. Parking was provided for a fee but was definitely worth it for the convenience. I would highly recommend this property.

Don Carlo is well located in the heart of Tropea. Karina and Carlo were wonderful hosts who made our stay so memorable. Karina's passion for her B and B came through in all she did; from the superb breakfast to the thoughtful recommendations made for eateries and excursions.

The property is lovely and modern, clean and the bed is super comfortable. The hostess is also so lovely and the breakfast was really great and homemade by the hostess herself! Location of the property is also great, particularly if you are without a car. The hostess also leave a little bag with beach towels for during your stay which was a nice little surprise. Great stay overall 😊

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Don Carlo Tropea – A Total Gem We had such a wonderful stay at Don Carlo Tropea. From the moment we arrived, Karina and her husband Carlo made us feel completely at home. They’re both so kind, thoughtful, and clearly love what they do — they really went above and beyond for us in every way. The location is ideal — peaceful but close to everything. The room was spotless, spacious, and super comfortable. Every little detail was thought of — from toothbrushes and toothpaste to a beach bag filled with essentials in case you forgot anything. It’s rare to see that kind of care and attention in a hotel. And I have to say — the breakfast was incredible. Seriously. Everything was fresh, homemade, beautifully presented… we looked forward to it each morning. This place has heart. You can feel it. It’s not just a beautiful stay — it’s a warm, welcoming experience you’ll remember. I’m already hoping to come back someday, and I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to recommend Don Carlo to anyone visiting Tropea.

The hospitality of the owners was above and beyond! Location is awesome, the breakfast was great, the room was modern and comfortable - will be back!

Everything is great

The location was absolutely perfect - easy walk from train station and steps away from Old Town and the beaches. Our hosts were so friendly - we want to adopt Carolina! A delicious breakfast was served each morning on the terrace with homemade cakes and jams. Made to order egg dishes were amazing too! The room was wonderful and very clean. Loved everything about this hotel.

Nothing, we enjoined everything

We absolutely loved our stay at Don Carlo Tropea. Katrina, our host, was incredibly warm, caring, and attentive, she truly made us feel at home. Her freshly made breakfasts were delicious, and the accommodation itself was spotless and centrally located. The bathroom was a standout, with a luxurious massage-style shower that was so refreshing after a day at the beach. We also enjoyed the company of other lovely guests during our stay. It was such a special experience. I highly recommend this beautiful place and would definitely stay again!
