Magnificent views of the bay, sunrise and sunset offer equally beautiful vistas. The accommodation was spacious, impeccably clean, and comfortable. The breakfast was generous. I enjoyed sitting on the terrace with a book, listening to the town bells. The hosts were what really made this place special though, so kind and welcoming!

The hill to get to accommodation is not for the faint of heart. You will break a sweat going uphill to the accommodation.. but you wouldn't get the incredible view without it.

Alfunso was an incredible host to us we were so grateful for his hospitality! Incredible breakfast served with a view daily. We loved this accommodation and how it felt like home. Eating out on the balcony day and night was an experience

The hosts were super friendly and made us feel welcomed. The location is outside the town, but it's only a 15 minute walk down, and there is a bus stop nearby, so didn't have to walk back up the hill. Views from the terrace are amazing over Vico Equense and the Bay of Naples.

Amazing view with incredible sunsets, you can see Vesuvius, Naples, Ischia and the neverending sea! Very peaceful and relaxing ! Alfonso and Bianca were very nice and helpful, supportive with tips for the area and giving us a ride to and from train station at arrival/departure and after thousands of steps of exploring the Sorrento and Amalfi areas. Nice choice for breakfast, with lovely tables to enjoy the view. Room was large, beautifully decorated, bed comfy, and extra area to enjoy a coffee/tea. Definetely a place to return to continue exploring the area !

The Hosts: Alfonso and Bianca are the best! You will not find better hosts in Italy and it’s probably the number one reason to stay here. You should definitely consider booking a couple extra days here because it’s central to Amalfi, Sorento and Pompeii. We took a day and didn’t go anywhere. We just enjoyed the property, the incredible views overlooking the city, the bay, Napoli and Mt Vesuvius.

Alfonso and Bianca are very kind people. They picked us up from the train station and dropped us off on the way back to Rome. The villa has a terrace with a magnificent view overlooking the sea and Mount Vesuvius. Breakfast was great with a real Italian cappuccino. Alfonso also booked a ferry for us to visit Capri Island. With them, we felt like at home. We only regret not spending more days there. Vico Equense is a gem with fewer tourists and easy access to important destinations like Pompeii, Sorrento, Amalfi, etc. We fell in love with Vico Equense, and Bianca and Alfonso. We hope to come back there one day.

It’s not a chain hotel with shiny finishes, and it doesn’t need to be, but you feel at home. We’d stay there again, if we’re in the area.

We stayed here during our trip to Amalfi coast and Pompei. It was nice to be away from the hustle and bustle of the resorts and feel like cherished guests to the lovely hosts. They did everything and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our time and were very flexible to our needs (including a super late arrival and all the recommendations even after we left) The view of the terrace, where the breakfast is served or you can enjoy a cup of complimentary coffee, is just spectacular. You see Vesuvius and the islands of the Amalfi coast in the 180 panorama. The room is rather simple but spacious, it has everything you need and is well taken care of. The beds are comfortable. There is an easy cheap parking a min away (download the EasyPark App and don’t deal with meters) Good breakfast and amazing cappuccino.

The "Garden on the Sea" is a real Peace's Oasis that you wouldn't want to leave once you arrive . It is not just about the marvelous view of the surrounding that you can admire from the garden, but especially for the warmth that Alfonso and Bianca make you feel since the first second . We have really felt welcome and cured like a family, starting from the welcome appetizer at sunset time, till the delicious breakfast before the check out time. So looking forward to being back with Alfonso to the Paradise!

I had an amazing stay with a breathtaking view. The apartment was fantastic, and the perfect ending was a spectacular firework show viewed straight from the balcony. Special thanks to the host, who went the extra mile by picking us up and dropping us off at Vico Equense. She is incredibly humble and loving. I highly recommend this place to stay when you're in Sorrento.

Sound from the neighbors could wake you up if you are light sleeper. But nothing very distracting It would be nice to have a mirror in the room. With 2 girls in the room - we both were trying to use the mirror in the bathroom which is obviously a challenge ☺️ but am sure Alphonso will get that sorted soon.

The most exceptional part about the property is definitely the hosts. They leave such an impact on your heart with their love and caring. Property is as mentioned. Hosts are attentive to detail . They were kind enough to pick and drop us at train station. They do not converse fully in English - but that does not stop them from helping you with anything . Alphonso is always responsive on texts as quickly as possible. He helped us with reservations to capri . Kind enough us to give us wine bcoz we arrived on Sunday and supermarkets were closed. You have the amazing view of the meta , capri and Vesuvius from the property . 10 to 15 mins to walk down to center and walk up is 20 mins , but not too bad if you are decently healthy. I wish we could speak Italian so that we could have more conversations with them , but at the end language doesn’t matter - heart matters .

Minor points: Parking can be hell in the entire area from Naples to Salerno. Accomodation has (community)parking at 100m's distance which is okay if the parking metre would be more dependable. Adriano and Bianca - who cannot be blamed - do what they can... Inhabitants of the 2nd accomodation (double room for whole family) may cause some noise but Adriano and Bianca are most protective of their guests.

Hosts were most welcoming and helpful. Location is wonderful between Naples and Amalfi with grand terrace overlooking Vico and the most beautiful view of the entire Bay and Vesuvius and sunset behind Ischia. Italy's grandest archeological sites Pompei, Ercolaneo and Paestum all within easy reach (1 to 1,5 hrs), same goes for Naples and Capri. Forget driving in Naples.. Excellent breakfast (Italian or intl.), good resto's in Vico at 1 km.

The hill from town is a tough trek. It's a good 20 minutes from town or 35 from the beach and very steep. Although there is a public bus coordinating the timetable was near impossible we only managed it once. To our shame we really had too much on the generosity of our host for a lift from the train station or local marina. We didn't want to hire a car or motorcycle but it would have been much better for getting home if we had.

This is a wonderful retro B&B with amazing hosts. The view from the terrace is really beautiful. The room is exactly as in the pictures and was both quiet and comfortable for our stay for a week. The value is great in comparison to nearby Sorrento. The owners are incredible and were so kind to us and insisted on collecting and dropping us to the train station several times. We could visit all the famous nearby attractions on day trips and were glad to return to the peace and quiet of "Garden on the Sea" every evening. The hosts organized pizza for us and the daily breakfast was fresh and plentiful. We also spent a day on the local beach which was very nice. Trains leave town very often and there is a bus from Naples airport.
