Lovely accommodation , a short walk into Lecce Vecchio and most of all the caring and wonderful owners Salvio and Monica. The 5 star breakfasts were indulgent and delicious - prepared and served with the utmost care and attention to detail comprised of regional specialties and local products all expertly prepared by Salvio. Our week at Habitare Lecce was nothing short of extraordinary — not merely a stay, but an experience that touched the heart and soul. From the moment we arrived, Salvio and Monica welcomed us not only as guests, but as friends. Their warmth, generosity, and attention to detail created an atmosphere of grace and genuine hospitality that is increasingly rare to find. Each morning, Salvio created a Michelin-star-worthy breakfast, crafted with love and precision. We alternated between the sweet and savory menus, sharing and savoring both — local delicacies presented on elegant ceramic plates, each bite telling the story of Lecce and its land. The care and intention behind every ingredient were so palpable that I found myself moved to tears — not just by the taste, but by the heart behind it. Our time there unfolded like a love letter to Puglia. Salvio arranged unforgettable experiences for us — a refined olive oil tasting led by Cristiana, an olive sommelier whose knowledge deepened our appreciation of this sacred local craft. Her personally selected oils were so delicious, I could not go home without getting some for when I return to New York. After the tasting, Salvio prepared a meal that harmonized perfectly with the oils. On another day, we visited a local dairy, watching Pino create mozzarella, burrata, and ricotta. Again, tears filled my eyes — everything we tasted, every gesture we witnessed, radiated passion and authenticity. Salvio even guided us on a personal walking tour of Lecce, sharing its hidden corners, stories, and flavors — ending the day at a small bakery where we tasted divine pasticciotti, still warm from the oven. Leaving Habitare was unexpectedly emotional. Salvio and Monica had become more than hosts — they had become friends, people whose kindness and artistry will stay with us long after our suitcases are unpacked. If Lecce is the heart of Puglia, Habitare is surely its soul.
It’s not just a place to rest — it’s a place to feel.

Would love to have hooks in bathroom to hang towels and maybe a safe, but not a dealbreaker. And be prepared to take some stairs (though you won't be lugging you luggage due to ingenious baggage elevator).

Hospitality of hosts was amazing, many nice touches to the room, breakfast is unparalleled, finding parking is easy on the street in front of BnB.

Our hosts were friendly and welcoming. Our room was tastefully decorated. But the overwhelming enjoyment was the superb breakfast/ brunch. Each day was a treat for the senses.

What a great place! Monica and Salvio are perfect hosts, caring passionately about what they do. The photos don’t do the rooms justice. They are large, bright, airy and comfortable. Fabulous bed. Everything is solid & of good quality - designed and conceived by Salvio. Breakfast is exceptional (look at their own website to read in detail!) It is served individually, not as a buffet and you can choose between mainly sweet or mainly savoury (my husband and I had one of each and shared). Tell them if you don’t have a big appetite and they will tailor it accordingly. On street parking was easy, as was the walk into the old town. Lots of stairs to get up to the top floor (where all 5 rooms are situated) but Salvio’s ingenious lift takes care of your luggage.

The property was decorated to the highest level and was full of Italian style and charm. The bed and bedlinen were of the highest hotel quality and so comfortable. Silvio and Monika were superb hosts. They were extremely warm, engaging and helpful . Breakfast was a feast for the eyes and tastebuds! 10/10!!!

What a wonderful stay with Silvio and Monica. So helpful and kind. The breakfast was amazing and plentiful! Walking distance to everything and parking available close by. Can not recommend enough.

Not a problem for us at all but if anyone has mobility issues there is no lift.

Only a five minute walk to the historic centre and we were able to park our car on the street as it was just outside the restricted zone. The room was well designed, comfortable and clean and the apartment beautifully maintained. Salvio and Monica were very welcoming and helpful giving excellent restaurant recommendations. A fabulous breakfast gave the opportunity to sample locally produced food.

The location of the B&B is only a short walk from the old town. Salvio and Monica are super friendly, helpful, and always very responsive. The breakfast is to die for and is lovingly prepared every day.. We would definitely stay here again.

The only suggestion is if a person has significant heart, lung or arthritic disease the stairs would be difficult.

The hosts are welcoming, more than friendly, helpful in the most positive way. The breakfasts are delicious and a work of "heart", the room is very comfortable. The stairs are not a problem for luggage because there is an ingenious luggage lift

The hotel is very close on foot to the centro storico of Lecce and the room had cute little balcony to chill at in the evening and watch sunset. The room was nice, spacious and clean. Owners Salvio and Monica were very hospitable, Salvio recommended us a few good restaurants and also booked the table for us. On top of everything they prepare amazing breakfasts with local products that are typical for Puglia region. There is savory and sweet option, both amazing. I highly recommend this place for foodies!

I had a very good experience with Habitare. The breakfast was amazing, with local and tasty ingredients prepared by Salvio, who made the dishes with great care and love. The properties Salvio and his wife truly care about their guests, which is really nice. My room was very clean and recently renovated.

Nothing - all we could have hoped for ... we stayed two days and did Lecce by evening and night and the beach by day.

Brilliant... could not fault. Salvio was super friendly and accommodating along with his wife for help and advice - restaurants and beach and local suggestions. The breakfast choice.... just fantastic and the Sorento way. Clean and tastefully done. Close to the Lecce Napoli Porto.

Property is 5 min walk from old town. The room is furnished with a lot of thought and care. Excellent air conditioning. Exceptional breakfasts prepared every morning by owner. You will not need lunch!

Great B&B with a very friendly host. Perfect location and fun activities available through the host. Rooms are spacious and clean. It can be a bit noisy, but that didn’t bother us. Definitely recommended!

Yes, it’s outside the old town, but only 5 min walk and it’s easy to park your car for free. Monica and Salvio, the owners, are charming and have created a place that feels like home. Our bedroom was decorated. The breakfast is amazing for both quality and variety. For the price this place is 12 out of ten. Not flash, just comfy and welcoming.

The room was lovely! Really comfortable bed with plush pillows. The hosts were so nice, and very attentive with their guests. They put everything into running their B&B and it makes a difference to your stay in Lecce! We have to say something about the amazing breakfast that keeps you going all day. I would most definitely recommend 😊
