Il sogno del pescatore was an amazing place to stay and Alba was such a fabulous host. Sitting on the balcony looking out over the water was so relaxing. It was lovely to have a bit of space to spread out compared to a hotel room. Having a washing machine was also a bonus after a few weeks of travelling. Alba was amazing and couldn’t have done more to make us feel welcome and help us enjoy our stay. The location was great with a lovely all day cafe and a wine bar directly across the street. A great place to relax and recharge while travelling.

The absolute highlight of our trip to Calabria was our stay in Il Sogno del Pescatore. An amazing apartment, in an amazing location, from an amazing host. Without doubt one of the best places we have stayed in over the years. Alba was a really attentive host, with some great tips and communication ahead of our visit, coupled with a fantastic breakfast she prepared each day. If you are considering a stay in Scilla, and this place is available - book it. We will definitely be back! Magic.

The ONLY downside to staying here is the parking- but Alba couldn’t have done any more to make it as convenient as possible (even using her own car to reserve us a spot one night)

Firstly, the apartment is stunning. It’s right in the middle of the old town and has a private balcony overlooking the sea where you can watch the boats and restaurateurs getting ready for the day. It is the perfect hybrid between hotel and self-catered apartment. Breakfast, selected by you, is delivered at a time of your choosing to the apartment where you can eat in privacy on your balcony overlooking the sea. Alba comes and cleans daily, which keeps the place looking nice. Alba is also the most generous and helpful host we have ever stayed with- she lent us things of her own, she helped us speak with other local businesses to arrange dinner bookings and parking, but she also gave us all the space and privacy that we wanted. This place is a complete gem!

The property was stylish, comfortable and very well appointed! It is situated in a stunning location with jaw dropping views and equally in the historic centre. The Calabrian egg breakfast are the ultimate cherry on the cake. We will always carry the amazing memory and will be forever grateful to Alba for allowing us to realize a dream come true.

We had a balcony right over the sea with views of the old town. The property is close to all Scilla's attractions and on one of the main streets, but because there is a hallway and then internal doors between the street and the bedroom it's very quiet. Alba lives on the floor above and responds very quickly to any queries. She cooks a wonderful breakfast to order, and she also met us at the station and took us back.

Just perfect. Couldn't ask for anything more.I have no hesitation recommending this accommodation. The host is wonderful .Breakfast is so good.Location central for exploring Scilla. Accommodation is as I say perfect..we watched the sunrise and set from our balcony above the sea....and we fell asleep listening to the waves lapping the shore beneath our bedroom window .

il sogno is a charming and very unique apartment in the heart of the historic center of scilla on the harbor. the home has been in the family of the owner, alba, for several generations and it is lovingly maintained and operated by her as a guest house. alba is wonderful host and she is a very beautiful person too… : ) thank you so much alba…!!!

Nothing to dislike … all perfect

Our host was a gem… could not do enough to make our stay special . The location would have to be the best in Chianalea. Alba our host cared for us as if we were family, cooking us beautiful breakfasts every morning. The mattress and pillows were so comfortable that we slept like babies, whilst listening to the waves of the ocean. Absolutely stunning!

the whole thing is out of this world, what movies and postcards are made of! we are well travelled and work in industry so really appreciate the great things in life as they can be very rare and hard to find. this is almost perfection!

Greeting sunrise on a beautiful terrace over the sea was a very special experience.  The view is unbeatable: I felt like spending all my time on the terrace. The apartment is immaculately clean, the bed is very comfortable, breakfast is a la carte freshly made in the morning. Even though my Italian is very modest and Alba didn't speak English, we could have good conversations and understand each other. It didn't feel like a regular “bed & breakfast”, it felt like being a guest at Albas's house experiencing her hospitality and care. Il Sogno del Pescatore is a place where you can slow down, relax, and recharge listening to the needs of your inner self. It was a spiritual experience for me as well. Thank you, Alba!

Clean and cosy apartment in the most magical location. You are literally just above the sea - your balcony provides the most amazing views. Our host Alba could not have been more considerate and helpful. She went out of her way to make our trip as comfortable as possible. We did not want to leave.

The apartment was an absolute dream. There's really too many positive things to say in a few short sentences. The bed was so comfortable that we both had the best sleeps. The gorgeous views can't be overstated and are breathtaking. The apartment is front and centre in Chianalea (Scilla) which is the perfect location to relax on the balcony and take in the serene surroundings. Restaurants, the beach and points of interest are all walking distance from the apartment. All the rooms were super clean and a pleasure to be in. Our host Alba is an angel and was not only extremely accommodating and helpful, but is also a beautiful soul. Whenever we drove out to visit family she always made sure to hold a car spot for us. Alba went above and beyond to make our stay relaxing and memorable, whilst still being very unobtrusive. Grazie Mille Alba!
