Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Excellent room, brilliant breakfast. The owner was very accommodating when we were stuck on a train, missed our connection which made us late for check in. He kept in communication throughout and was there to meet us on arrival. Excellent accommodation would definitely recommend.

This is a very comfortable family-run bed and breakfast. The rooms are comfortable and immaculate, and you can walk to anywhere in Lucca. There is bicycle rental just outside. The family is very nice and helpful, with good suggestions. The breakfasts were generous with a good variety and quality. This is a very good value and we were lucky to stay there.

This was our second stay at this lovely family run Guest house in Lucca, nice size bedroom, lovely bathroom with great shower and soft fluffy towels, and lovely crisp bedding, breakfast was a treat, with Lorenzo on hand to look after all of your needs, position is perfect, a couple of minutes walk to the shops and restaurants, etc, and a 15 minute walk to the train station. We will be back!

No elevator to the third floor and carrying heavy luggage could be hard. The small key to light up the room is all tied in one keychain and if one person has to go out they either take the whole key access for all 3 doors or take the small key out from the keychain… kind of little weird arrangement
Location is great. Nice big room bathroom. decent breakfast.

Super good location on the old city. Super host! Very warm welcome and lot of help and reccomendations from the host. The best breakfast with fresh pastry. My god, delicious! Beautiful room, freshly renovated room and bathroom. Would definately visit again! 10+++ Grazie mille!

Everything fine!!
Perfect accomodation in Lucca. Close to the rail station and the city center, very very clean, comfortable bed and generous room. You have to climb some stairs inside the facility but we didn't mind. The breakfast fresh juices, a lot of locally produced jams and honey types, freshly slices salami and prosciutto freshly cut, cheese and some other things. An amazing place with friendly staff.

Nothing, everything was spectacular.
The Property was within walking distance, clean, comfortable, felt like home, quiet and felt very safe. The Breakfast was one of the best I ever had, she went through everything on the table and we loved that there was home cooked pastries. Was an incredible stay and will be recommending this bed and breakfast to anyone traveling through Lucca and cannot wait to go back.

In LUCUS was fabulous. Super clean and comfortable. Really comfortable bed and a good selection of pastries fresh fruit and yoghurt for breakfast. In Lucas is really central for everything in Lucca and only 10 mins walk to the train station.

Fabulous location within the old city walls. Very lovely rooms and hosts Lorenzo, Luigi and Francesca provided an outstanding breakfast and hospitality. Only four guest rooms so very personal service.

Breakfast was delicious. A buffet style with a selection of cereals. homemade cakes, hams, cheese & pastries. A lovely selection of fruit juices & a choice of teas & fresh coffee. Location was a 5 minutes walk from the main town & 20 minutes from the railway station. An ideal base for seeing all the attractions in Lucca & beyond. The room & ensuite was very spacious with plenty of storage space. The bed was large & very comfortable. Our bedding & towels were changed every couple of days. Spotlessly clean & tidy.

Guest house with nice old town spirit and modern, freshly renovated facilities. Huge, very clean room with comfortable bed and very good breakfast. We have stayed in room with internal garden view and it was very silent and relaxing for us. Special thanks goes to owners of guest house, due to some transport problems we were late to arrive to Lucca and was not able to checkin on regular hours. With simple phone call this issue was managed perfectly. We also got nice recomendations for dinner and Luca siteseeing. So next time in Lucca - we know where to stay!

The B &B was on the second floor which could be an issue for people with mobility issues. Lorenzo or his father Luigi helped with luggage , so this was not a problem.
Great location being near the station, walls of Lucca and historical sites . Best B&B we have stayed in : quiet, very comfortable bed, beautiful furniture. Lorenzo is a charming host who provides a lovely breakfast with home baked cakes.

In an excellent location, only a 10 minute walk from the Station. Lorenzo has done an extremely good renovation with 4 modern rooms plus breakfast area. A great bathroom with complimentary products. A very comfortable bed. Plenty of hanging & drawer space. Plus a delicious buffet selection for breakfast.

Can’t really say there was anything we didn’t like - the only thing which was a slight negative was the beds seemed to be short however we did have a comfortable sleep.
The owner was very welcoming friendly and helpful. The B&B was outstanding and exceeded our expectations. We would highly recommend it. The location for us was great within easy reach of everything. The breakfast was exceptional and plentiful and lots of choice. Exceptional value for money. Room was spacious and nicely decorated and kept well very clean which included bathroom facilities. Loved our stay - thanks Lorenzo😀
