How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

This charming little hotel is located just a few meters from the coast, the railway station and the centre of the village. The room was spacious and pleasant. Special mention for the staff: after we stated that we were not staying for the (included) breakfast, we changed plans in the morning and had still the possibility to enjoy the meal, including the freshly made croissants.

The breakfast was good but the only thing I would have liked to see is a different breakfast each day. Maybe some fresh fruit, cheese and tomatoes.
The property was located in a convenient spot. Close to beaches, delicious restaurants and piazza. All staff were extremely friendly, kind and generous.

I enjoyed especially the generous terrace - although you dont see the sea, you can her its pulse. Extraordinary hospitality, super friendly with elevator and very close to the train station - very convenient with heavy bags for water sports ;-)

A bit cold room in a winter season. AC works as a heater but it took lots of time to have a decent temperature.
A very comfortable, spacious and clean room. Amazing host 😊 and wonderful continental breakfast. Atmosphere was like at home. Great seafront location. Great value for the money. Highly recommend bed&breakfast while in Praia a Mare.

Clean is always my first priority, and this place was spotless. They served a very good breakfast. Really good location, one block over from the town square which has everything you'd need, restaurants shopping, entertainment. It's also a very short walk to the beach. I highly recommend this property and this town for that matter.

Pillows weren’t amazing… but now I’m nitpicking.
Beautifully furnished and decorated accommodation, really impressed. Great location for beach and town. Wonderful hosts, best personal breakfast spread, super comfy bed, wonderful shower! We extended our stay as we didn’t want to leave!

Really minor things, no toilet roll holder and therefore no toilet paper next to the toilet. Towel holder was broken

Can't think of one thing I didn't like
Beautiful, clean. Central location, closer to the most beautiful beach (pristine clear blue water!) and the main street for restaurants in the evening. Wonderful terrace. The hosts were so, so welcoming. Mirella made it feel like we were long lost friends. The breakfast served was divine, warm cornetti and crostada along with fresh apricots from their garden. My first experience staying in a B&B, with my main concern being privacy. This felt more like having a private hotel room with all the perks of the B&B experience.

The host was very accommodating and friendly. the location is fantastic; walking distance to the center and the beach. Breakfast was also bonus.

The bed was very uncomfortable and noisy; simply sitting down on it or shifting in the night caused loud squeaking noises (springs). The plumbing in the washroom in the room next door must be right next to the bed in the room we stayed in, because the people next to us woke up early, showered, etc., and it was loud in our room. Poor lighting and sloped ceiling in the washroom.
Good location set in between the lungomare and beach and the main part of town with restaurants, grocery store, bank, post office, etc. Appreciated the small elevator to bring luggage up and down to our room. Pleasant breakfast included every morning.
