How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewGreat location, in the city center. Nice rooms, friendly interaction with owner.
All was ok.

Verified reviewThe room was spacious and clean. The hotel is located in a central area.
This was my third stay at Il Falco, and I left feeling very disappointed. The hotel is under new ownership, and the quality of the service has declined significantly. Hopefully, the new owners are just adjusting, but I think I'll look elsewhere next time I'm in RC. During previous stays, there was coffee, juice, water, melba toast, and jam, all of which were refreshed daily. This time, we had two bottles of water. There was a coffee machine without a water tank and no coffee pods. The hook for the shower head was broken. There was an empty bottle of liquid hand soap in the bathroom. Housekeeping is supposed to happen between 10:30am and 1pm, so we vacated the room by 10:45am the first morning. It was disappointing when we returned in the afternoon to see that our room had not been refreshed. (To their credit, they did send someone the next day and the room had been cleaned thoroughly.)

Verified reviewThe location of the hotel is very good, close to the central beach and in a lively neighborhood. Breakfast was not served at the hotel itself, but in a nearby café (a pastry with coffee or juice).
Overall, the price for the room seemed too high for what was offered. However, for a family of three, the room felt quite small and there was also a problem with hot water during our stay.

Verified reviewClean. Nice balcony. Near main street. Breakfast was good at voucher cafe. Had hot water.Good price.heater worked
No one on site, girl who let us in stuck the key in the door and vanished. No reception. Booking said it had coffee tea and snacks and had none. Toilet paper was not even enough. Contacted the number to message, he acted bothered. No housekeeping. Breakfast by voucher 2 5 blocks away. Bed was lumpy. Bad run down street. TV had a line through it. Info in room dated and inaccurate. Wifi code was wrong, housekeeping did not exist but paper in room said there was housekeeping. Said they bring breakfast to the room was also inaccurate. Hall was poorly lit and elevator was hazardous as it stopped above and below threshold. Two small packets of body wash/shampoo for two women for 3 days Would not recommend.

Verified reviewThe view was very nice. The room and bathroom looked very nice.
Unfortunately, the shower was broken and not functioning. There was no hair dryer and the coffee machine broken. I would expect all these things to be there and functioning properly. Also the WiFi did not connect to the internet. I rely on these things to function properly in order to communicate, receive emails and do online airline check in. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed.

Verified reviewGreat location, just a couple of uphill blocks from the main drag....Corso Garibaldi. Spotless bedroom and very clean bathroom.
No one was there at check in time to welcome us in and to instruct us on how to use the various elements in both bedroom and bathroom....The bathroom shower head was very tricky to use unless someone showed you how....The bathtub was very high...not ideal for older people to try to get in and out. Only one small size TP roll every three days, however the good cleaning lady gave us two extra ones....Waste baskets are very small especially the one in the bathroom and changed only once every three days......About not having the host welcoming us at check in time....there is no law as of now that requires the host to be present upon your arrival. Although, there seem to be a law coming soon to require the host to be present but for now, the keys are left in a mailbox and you need to fend your own way once your succeed to enter the B&B and that can be quite frustrating....especially if you do not have an Italian/European phone....then you are really up the creek without a paddle....Finally the young man that owns and runs the place showed up but very briefly and not very friendly...just to get a copy of our passports without showing us the ins and outs of the place. Our room had both a tea pot and a coffee maker but neither coffee or tea was provided with it.....Breakfast was a coupon for a cappuccino and a pastry in a snack bar outside the B&B two blocks away on the main drag . The mattress was so hard....it felt like rocks were inside of it...Never experienced such a hard ....hard...hard...mattress in my whole life. Felt so sore in the morning......The wifi was another thorn in the whole deal....very very slow....

Verified reviewThe property’s location is perfect it’s in the center. The space is big and clean. Comfy beds, has the basic things you need. In case something is missing you can easily contact the owner and he will be there to provide it to you.
What we did not like is its noisy in the evening you can hear cars and people talking in the street.

Verified reviewClean and tidy. Air con worked well
‘Sea view’ was misleading, can see small amount of sea behind some very run down buildings. Quite a walk to the seafront

Verified reviewVery clean, spacious and modern. Lovely little balcony with small table and chairs and sea view. Very close to the Main Street for shops/bars etc. Breakfast (basically a pastry/croissant and coffee) was served at the cafe just round the corner. Very helpful host including sorting our airport taxi and placing breakfast pastries in the room due to early start. We use the trains a lot / this place is about 10 mins walk from RC Lido and 15 mins walk from RC centrale stations.
Just some suggestions for minor improvements … Contact your guests for an ETA so there is someone there to greet them when they arrive. Pop some free tea bags and coffee pods in each room to go with the kettle and coffee machine

Verified reviewBreakfast at the coffee shop nearby was very good. The pastries and the coffee were delicious. The jacuzzi was a surprise and a wonderful feature.
We missed hangers in the bathroom for the used towels. It was a little chilly. We would have liked a blanket. The bed cover was not enough. But we still slept well.

Verified reviewgreat location, good-sized rooms with a nice sized bathroom. very clean, air con was a god send.
I had basically no contact with staff outside of a brief phone call and a man kmocking in the door requesting passport details. I wasn't informed of check-in procedure before arriving, so once I was there I tried buzzing in, after 10 minutes I had to call them to be let in remotely as no one was at the location. the room was supposed to come with breakfast, but for the 3 days I was there, I only received a breakfast voucher once.
