How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewLocation was perfect to visit Verona and lake Garda. Master of the house was kind, comunicative and attentive. Breakfast was good.
Our room was with low ceiling. It was a little bit uncomfortable especially in bathroom. Maybe not all room are like this. Mattress was very soft, for us it was uncomfortable, maybe for other guests it will be ok, depends what you prefer.

Verified reviewa cozy and homey Italian country house with a lovely garden and hosts! it's close to everything and the property offers a summary on available activities and services to optimize your stay.
we stayed at the papagano room with the inclined bathroom roof and it was a bit challenging because we're relatively not short people.

Verified reviewThe stay in the guesthouse was absolutely magical. If you want to experience the magical Italian countryside I recommend it 100%. You will feel like Alice in Wonderland. Even "Mr. Rabbit" is here :-) The place, the house, the facilities, the owners, everything fits together like a puzzle. The house is decorated in a traditional Italian countryside style with incredible attention to each detail. The small garden is so cozy with a pond and a bunny running arround that you can easily extend your breakfast by an hour. The owner / host bakes an incredible homemade cake every morning, which they serve you still warm. With the owners you feel like you are with long-time friends and you don't want to leave. It was the most pleasant stay we have ever had. Everything is also clean and without a flaw. The accommodation is in a pleasant village very close to Lake Garda, so you can have the place woithout tourists and traffic but easily get to the lake during the day. We definitely will come back one day and recommend to all our friends. In Cortee del Mincio we left our hearts ❤🙏.
the only one thing, we had a bathroom with a rather low ceiling. We managed, it was quite ok for us but would probably be quite uncomfortable for men, so I recommend to ask for a room with a normal ceiling in the bathroom when booking. Everything else is absolutely magical.
Thank you Helena! was really a pleasure to meet you :) Big Hugs From Italy

Verified reviewAmazing interior and VERY clean, tasty breakfast and quiet area.
The fact you have to ‘book’ your breakfast the night before and the quantity. Also the mattress was not so comfortable to sleep in it.

Verified reviewVery nice friendly staff, good communication. A guesthouse with individuality - it's a rather stylish hotel with original decorations and trinkets in the room. There's a small garden with rabbits which is nice to have breakfast at.
The parking is on the street, and when we came back after dinner our spot was taken by someone else. The pillows were extremely uncomfortable - I had a neck pain the next morning. No female hygiene products in the bathroom.
Hello, the parking spaces are public street parking, there isn’t a reserved spot for you. We are a plastic-free property, as we clearly emphasize, and we do not use any kind of single-use plastic. In your room you will find double pillows: high and firm ones, and low and soft ones.

Verified reviewOur stay at BB Corte del Mincio was truly wonderful. The place is beautiful, with incredible attention to every detail. The owners were exceptionally kind and helpful — they even answered my call at 11:30 pm and assisted us with everything we needed, making our stay absolutely perfect. Unfortunately, it was a short visit, but we will definitely be coming back!

Verified reviewVery common for Italy
Staff is always trying to get some extra money and pushing your with rules
This review was made only because we were not able to find your MacBook Charger forgotten in room. (In your opinion)You spent to us just one night. -available for our guest we have many different services (obviously in extra) We dont need to push guest to spend money. Car rental, bike rental, extra breakfast, extra dinner are not included in room price. Fortunately we are full of guest enjoining our place without stupid invented story. We hope that person like you don’t come to our home to simulate lost thing. But this is “circus” hight season

Verified reviewThe host was very nice and welcoming ❤️ since he didn’t have all rooms booked, he decided to upgrade our room reservation for free 🥰 We also enjoyed the breakfast in the morning. The B&B is located in a small, quiet town, but still enough close to Lago di Garda.

Verified reviewWe had a short stay, but we generally enjoyed it. The host was extremely nice and even though we missed the check in hour, he helped us and gave us instructions for the check in. The host provided us with free water, which was helpful, given our late check in. We had to leave quite early in the morning, but would have loved to spend some quiet time in the beautiful garden that the place has. We had some issues with finding a parking space, but the host was kind enough to show us a free parking which was 10 minutes away by foot.
The house is very old, therefore the noise insulation is almost non existent. We arrived quite late, and we couldn't manage to fall asleep because of other customers staying in the room above ours, which were extremely active given the hour (past 1:00 am). The parking spaces are limited and we weren't lucky enough to find a free one next to the house. We managed to park our car in the nearby piazza (Piazza Vittorio Emanuelle) , but had to wake up early in the morning, as it was restricted for up to 60 minutes stay between 8:00 am and 2:00 pm. Thankfully, our host recommended us a free parking which was 10 minutes away by foot and managed to move it there.
We are very sorry that the guests in the room above were noisy. Unfortunately, the behavior and manners of other guests are beyond our control.

Verified reviewThe interior of the house had a unique, vintage style. The bathroom looked new and everything was very clean. There was an orange fluffy cat that greeted us with purrs when we arrived. The hosts were flexible and adaptable about our stay and arrival. Dominique was very kind, friendly and spoke perfect english. The breakfast was personalized and exceptional.
The ceiling in the shower was too low and we bumped our heads a few times while showering (I am 170 cm tall). The room was super small, had a loud fridge and very small, old tv. There was only 1 electricity socket in the whole room, it was behind the bed which was also not the best position. The room was hot and humid when we arrived. Accurate rating would be: room 7/10, breakfast 10/10
