Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Polandjust a recommendation: Maybe it is worth to introduce "request for cleaning" to be more environmental friendly :)
Everything Perfect! First of all, the host did his best to prepare the room even earlier than it is in booking agreement. Contact with the host is extremely good! The host helped us, with getting to the apartment from the airport with sending all needed instruction, which public transport, ticket information, bus stop. Reception was so kind, Fabio explain everything with patient and Francesca prepared the really lovely room for us. Room was cleaning every day. A kitchen with nice facilities is available 24 hours. Whenever we will back to Rome, this apartment will be my first choice! There is also a possibility to leave the luggage at apartment on you last day(in case of a late flight). Travel to center and Vatican City is by bus, event in the traffic days there is no problem by catch the bus. All best! Michał&Jolka.

United StatesEverything was great! Nothing I didn’t like.
Fabio and Francesca were the most kind and gracious hosts! They made you feel as friends. Very generous with their time and available for assistance. Very accommodating. The bed and room were SO comfortable. The kitchenette with fridge and Keruig for coffee was perfect and added to the spaciousness. Clean and updated, felt so refreshing. The walk to the Vatican is easy and the bus ride there is also very quick. Felt very safe.

A nice room in an apartment block on a busy road. Clean and comfortable. Very helpful host. Good location for visiting Rome by Metro (15 mins walk to station). We dined at Rostini fish restaurant which was excellent.

LuxembourgI noticed that the common room needed to be mopped since my feet ended up a bit dirty after walking around barefoot. Apart from that, all was great.
The room we stayed was clean and comfortable. Very spacious and cosy. The common area was nice and we had a wide variety of coffee and tea available. Nice dishes and cups are available , we even found umbrellas that we could borrow since the morning was extremely rainy in Rome. Lots of nice restaurants and cafes nearby and very central since there are buses heading to the city center. We had a very pleasant stay.

BelgiumLocation, no breakfast
Price/quality is good. The room is really nice. It’s not really a B&B but a part of apartment in a resident building. Pity no breakfast was provided. Fabio and son Jacopo are great and help you with advice on transport. Location is behind the Vatican. The main reason to take a room here is price. In Belgium or Germany this room would be considered as overpriced but staying a night in Rome is always overpriced. All in all I would recommend if money matters to you 🙂

CanadaRoad noise and sirens from the traffic outside. Seemed like there was an ambulance every 10 minutes. Not a big deal but it is noticeable. No milk or cream in the kitchen.
Bed was very comfortable. Host was extremely pleasant and accommodating. Fresh towels every day. Super clean. Transportation right outside the door, bus or taxi. Wide selection of free tea and coffee.

RomaniaWe had an amazing stay at this apartment in Rome. Fabio, our host, was exceptionally nice and attentive to our every need, making our experience even more enjoyable. The apartment itself was sparkling clean and fully equipped with everything you might need for a comfortable stay. The location is also very convenient, with a bus station right in front of the apartment, making it easy to explore the city. Overall, we had a fantastic time and highly recommend this location. We will definitely be coming back for sure!

Czech RepublicThe only problem was the night traffic from the nearby busy street.
The friendliness and helpfulness of the owners was admirable. The advantage was a well-equipped kitchen, great accessibility to local transport (ATAC), proximity to Vatican and location without tourist traffic.

United StatesOur room shared a wall with the car wash on the outside of the building. It wasn’t on at night but it did wake us up a couple of the mornings we were there. Just something to be aware of if you are not necessarily early risers.
Compared to the rooms you get at hotels this was like a suite! The room was a nice size and it was very convenient to have coffee available in the shared kitchen space. Our hosts were excellent as well! Easy to communicate with and provided us with all of the information we needed for getting around the city.

United StatesThe suite was so cute and perfect for me and my friend. Large enough that we never felt on top of each while we got ready. They privacy shutters kept out the light for when we had a late night exploring Rome too. Fabio and Francesca met us there and explained EVERYTHING we needed to know to get around Rome and where to eat. They were the best!!

United KingdomThis is a beautiful property. There are three bedrooms at the property. We were a family of four and had two of the three rooms, these were both spacious and the ensuite bathrooms were lovely. Our rooms were beautiful, very clean and comfortable and with everything we could want. There is use of a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. The walk into Rome is straightforward but takes about 25 minutes. The nearest metro station is about 15 minutes walk away. We found that the best way to travel was by bus [if you want to buy bus tickets in cash you need to go to a tabachi (similar to a newsagent in Britain or a tabac in France), there is one a few minutes walk away from Magnolia St Peters. You can also pay for your bus fares with your phone on the bus itself.]. The buses were frequent and easy to use. The breakfast is served by a cafe just next door to the apartments. Breakfast consisted of a pastry (delicious) and a hot drink and orange juice. On two of the three days we were also offered a sandwich which could be toasted or taken away.
